The North Somerset Community Partnership Fund has been set up by Quartet Community Foundation and North Somerset Community Partnership to support community-based organisations responding to the health and wellbeing of disadvantaged local people in North Somerset.

We couldn’t be more excited to partner with this fantastic, 'Bristol first' initiative powered by independent businesses.

We Back Bristol is a collective giving fund through which businesses can pledge 1% of their profits to support Bristol’s local charities and community groups. At a time when charities are struggling in a difficult funding landscape, we are delighted to work with businesses who make giving locally a part of their ethos.

Working with the founder members of We Back Bristol to bring all this together has been inspiring. Their commitment, spirit of collaboration and creativity has been amazing and we are delighted to be part of such a fantastic group.

This is an exciting time to join our Board of Trustees as we celebrate our 40th year and embark on a new 3-year strategy.

Trustees come from all walks of life, and we want our Board and wider organisation to reflect the diverse communities of the West of England. If you have never been a charity trustee or sat on a board before, please still consider applying or getting in touch to discuss the role.

We're especially keen to hear from you if you:
✅️ Are committed to Quartet’s mission, strategy and values.
✅️ Have the judgement, integrity and collaborative approach to fulfill charity trustee responsibilities and contribute to effective strategic governance.
✅️ Understand the needs and diversity of Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
✅️ Have experience or insight relevant to our work and strategy, for example: community engagement and social welfare, grant-making, philanthropy, wealth advice, finance and accountancy, law, property, charity, or experience in the public or voluntary sectors.

‼️The Culture Fund is now open! 🌟

Grants of £500 and £5,000 are now available for Bristol-based artists, creative freelancers or organisations to help make arts and culture accessible to everyone.

Delivered in partnership with Quartet Community Foundation, the fund will prioritise projects, activities and organisations that address inequality, meaningfully engage communities and promote health and wellbeing.

🙌We are delighted to share that Lucy Saunders will be joining Quartet Community Foundation as our new Director of Development, a pivotal role at the heart of our mission and future growth.

Lucy brings with her a wealth of experience from Young Bristol, along with an outstanding track record of building strong relationships with funders, driving ambitious strategic programmes, and working closely with communities to create meaningful impact.

Lucy will become a vital member of Quartet’s leadership team, helping drive our bold three year strategy to reach new donors, support less well served communities, and strengthen the voluntary sector to sustain a thriving West of England.
