Shirehampton Planning Group

Shirehampton Planning Group The Shirehampton Planning Group gives Residents a Voice. An opportunity to have their say in the way that Shirehampton develops in the future 1.

We look at local Planning Applications that may affect Residents in our Village of Shirehampton, 2. We look at Planning decisions that affect Shirehampton from Neighbouring Areas in or close to our Ward of Avonmouth & Lawrence Weston 3. We look at Planning decisions & Consultations that will affect Shirehampton from Bristol City Council and if necessary the UK Government 4. We do not usually get

involved in Individual House Extension Planning Applications unless it affects the Community as a whole, or more than 1 Resident or Residential Property 5. We put forward Comments as a Group provided we have more than 3 requests from Members or the approval of 3 Officers of the Group ie Committee Members. Other Planning Applications can be listed for Members to make their own Individual Comments if they wish? 6. We respond to requests from Non Members on an ad hoc basis. Shirehampton Residents can Automatically join the Group and we have provision for Residents from the other Villages in our Ward.

People living in Shirehampton & Lawrence Weston have also recently had a problem where a project was strongly Objected to with a big majority by residents yet Bristol Councillors decided to Support the application to go ahead? How can that be possible? It is not acceptable!
Please sign & share this petition for Bristol's sake!

Also look out for & sign the Ambition Lawrence Weston petition to help us fight the recent decision regarding permission for a Regional Cycling Centre to the rear of Kingsweston Avenue & Henacre

We need housing, but poor-quality high-rises aren't the answer. Join the call for a Full Council debate to get Bristol's planning back on track and protect our neighbourhoods from bad development.

😮A shocking five million disposable vapes are thrown away each week.
Why is this a problem? The small batteries that power the vapes can cause fires, especially when they get into the waste stream.

♻You can recycle your used vapes at Burslem or Hanford household waste and recycling centre.
