Do you fancy a walk on the wild side?
Explore Lyde Green and learn fun facts about its nature and wildlife on a walk with conservationist Steve England.
Conservationist Steve England will be leading a free ‘Walk on the wild side’ in Lyde Green to help residents discover the local area and learn fun facts about its history, wildlife, plants and trees.
Meet outside Lyde Green Community Centre in Thistle Close. The walk starts at 10.30am and should finish back at the same location by 12.30pm.
It will be a slow paced walk, stopping to look at points of interest – both plants, trees and nature, to look into what’s on your doorstep.
Visit Steve England’s website to learn a bit more about him and what he does!
The walk will go ahead whatever the weather, so if it’s raining still come! Bring umbrellas, coats, sensible footwear as we may be going off the beaten track.
The walk has been organised by the council's travel planning team. It's free of charge and suitable for all ages and abilities. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
This walk is intended for residents of Lyde Green.
