Join us for an inspiring afternoon of music, community and celebration!

Dovetail Orchestra is a refugee and asylum seeker-led community orchestra based in Bristol, bringing together musicians from many cultures and backgrounds. What began as weekly workshops has grown into a vibrant collective whose music spans continents, weaving together traditions from Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, Eastern Europe and beyond.

Through music, Dovetail creates opportunities for refugees and people seeking asylum to build confidence, develop skills and form meaningful connections. This relaxed summer concert will feature uplifting songs and musical traditions from around the world, celebrating the power of music to bring people together.

Dovetail Orchestra is raising funds for The Beehive Centre in recognition of the support it has provided since the orchestra began. Since its founding, The Beehive Centre has offered Dovetail a free space after weekly rehearsals, where members can gather to share meals, friendship and cultures from around the world.

This concert is Dovetail's way of saying thank you, while helping to ensure The Beehive Centre can continue its work tackling loneliness, supporting wellbeing, and creating opportunities for people to connect.

What a fantastic way to round off Volunteers’ Week!

Thanks to the amazing efforts of our staff, volunteers, and attendees, we raised enough money to buy a brand-new commercial toaster for the kitchen!

A huge thank you to everyone who baked, bought, and enjoyed cakes at our cake sale. Every cake sold and peoples generous donations helped make this possible, and we couldn’t have done it without your support. 🍰

Volunteers’ Week is a great reminder of just how important community is. When people come together, give their time, share their skills, amazing things happen.
This new toaster will be used in our busy kitchen at our Lunch Club on Tuesdays, and Community Breakfast on Thursdays, come and join us! 🍳🥓

Thank you for being part of our community and for helping us make a difference. 🐝
