Bristol Commonwealth Society

Bristol Commonwealth Society Our charity aims to raise awareness of the Commonwealth, its cultures and histories of its citizens and to promote social inclusion.

As a charity one of our primary objectives is to help young people learn about Commonwealth countries. The Commonwealth came into being in 1949. Since then independent countries from Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe and the Pacific have joined. Membership is based on free, equal and voluntary co-operation. WHAT WE DO HERE IN BRISTOL

We’ve been a part of the Bristol scene for a very long time!

As a registered charity one of our primary objectives is to help young people learn first-hand about Commonwealth countries. We’ve supported young people from Bristol and the surrounding areas to work in voluntary roles overseas.
