Today marks the start of Remember A Charity Week. We're joining other charities across the country in shedding some light on why remembering a charity in your Will can be so importance.

2️⃣0️⃣ You may be surprised to know that 20% of the care we give to people with life-limiting illnesses happens thanks to Gifts in Wills.

That means that Gifts from our generous supporters pay for the care of around 1 in 5 patients at St Peter's Hospice. We couldn't continue our work without them.

Curious about leaving a Gift or writing your Will? We're happy to chat. Visit https://www.stpetershospice.org/support-us/make-a-donation/gift-in-your-will/get-in-touch-with-our-legacy-team/

Mark your calendars and join us at our Art Exhibition at the Hospice on Saturday 3 October, from 10.30am to 4pm.

From scenic paintings to handmade crafts, every piece exhibited has been created by the patients we care for and the staff who support them. Working across a wide range of mediums, the artists behind each piece have spent months creating meaningful and unique works of art through our Brushstrokes wellbeing sessions, a six-week art programme that runs in the Hospice.

As well as exploring the artwork on display, you'll have the chance to win a beautiful Bristol landscape painting in our raffle and enjoy activities for all the family.

Purchasing one of the artworks will directly help local patients and their families receive the support they need, when it matters most.

Entry is free, with no need to book. Bring a friend, browse the exhibition and show your support for hospice care.

“When you watch the person you love die, it changes you. It really makes you realise that every minute counts and all you need in life is love. And love really shows at the Hospice, you’re surrounded by it.”

Kelly's husband, Tony, was cared for at the Hospice after being diagnosed with spinal cancer. She said nothing was too much for the Nurses on the Inpatient Unit: “Even when it was three o’clock in the morning, if Tony wanted ice cream, that’s what he got."

Our teams help families like Kelly and Tony make the most of every last second together. But it wouldn't be possible without your support - thank you.

Love being a Nurse? Then you’ll love being a St Peter’s Hospice Nurse. We’re looking for Nurses to join our team at our Inpatient Unit in Brentry.

“The Inpatient Unit is a special place where you can develop specialist clinical skills, manage complex symptoms and deliver holistic, individualised care, while being supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team. You’ll care not only for patients but also support their families and those important to them through some of life’s most challenging and meaningful moments.” – Zara, Inpatient Unit Manager.
