🌟 Another fab morning in OC Kids! 🌟

We were so excited to welcome some visitors this morning – it was lovely to have you with us, and we’d love to see you again soon! 😊

This morning, we continued our series all about the Bible. 📖 We explored the different types of books in the Bible and learned how to find a verse using the book, chapter and verse. We’re growing in confidence as we discover more about God’s amazing Word!

Have a great week, everyone! 💛

Hi everyone! 😊 We’ve had a fun morning at OCB Kids, starting our Bible Adventurers series!

Alongside our treasure hunt and bookmark making, we practised using the Bible and finding different verses. In Luke chapter 4, we discovered that Jesus also read God’s Word. Then, in Matthew 4:4, we learnt that just as our bodies need food, our hearts need God’s Word too! 📖

Our memory verse is Psalm 119:105:
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

Thank you so much for joining us this morning! 🌍
We had a wonderful time hearing from the church in Zimbabwe and learning about the amazing work they are doing. We thought about how we can pray for them and for people around the world. 🙏
The children completed a passport activity, practised one of our favourite songs, “Psalm 8 (Hallé)” by Phil Wickham, and then joined the grown-ups to perform and sing together. 🎶
We finished the morning with an amazing feast featuring delicious foods from different countries! 🍽️
What a fantastic Sunday! We look forward to seeing you next week as we begin our exciting new series, Bible Adventurers! 📖✨

🙌 OC Kids – How We Worship 🙌

Today in OC Kids we finished our series on Worship, thinking about the question: How do we worship God?

We read Psalm 150, which shows us that there are many different ways we can worship God – and they are all valid. But throughout the Psalm, one message keeps coming through:

PRAISE THE LORD! 🎉🙌

We thought about some of the ways we can worship God:
✨ Listening to the Holy Spirit
🎶 Praising Him
💃 Singing and dancing
💛 Encouraging others
🙏 Praying

We then spent time at our different worship stations, before coming back together for some live worship.

The Psalms also give us lots of examples of physical actions we can use when we worship God – including bowing our heads, kneeling, lifting our hands, clapping, dancing, shouting and playing instruments.

So we tried some of these together as we worshipped! 🪇👏💃🙌

Whatever our worship looks like, the message remains the same:

Praise the Lord! ❤️

📖 “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!”
Psalm 150:6

🙌 OC Kids – Who Can Worship? 🙌

Today we continued our series on Worship, asking the question: Who can worship God?

And the answer is… everyone! 🎉

We all have reason to worship God, no matter who we are or what is happening in our lives. We were created to worship Him!

Today we thought about what worship really means and were reminded that worship isn't just about singing songs on a Sunday. It’s about responding to who God is and giving Him the honour He deserves. ❤️

And, of course, we needed something to help us worship… so we made our own shakers! 🪇🎶

We can't wait to put them to use in our worship sessions! 🙌

"Let everything that has breath praise the Lord."
Psalm 150:6

🌟 OC Kids – Why Do We Worship? 🌟

Today in OC Kids we continued our series on Worship, thinking about the question: Why do we worship God?

There is always a reason to worship, no matter what is happening in our lives.

We worship God because He is worthy.
📖 Revelation 4:8–11

We worship because of what He has done for us.
📖 Luke 7:36–50

And we worship because of who He is.
📖 Exodus 3

We also looked at Habakkuk 3:17–18 and thought about what it means to worship God when things don't seem to be going right. We wrote our own version of Habakkuk's words, imagining the difficult things that might happen in their own lives – and declaring that even then, we will still rejoice in God our Saviour. 💛

We finished with Psalm 100:

"Give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever."

What a wonderful reminder that our worship isn't dependent on whether life is going well. God is always worthy of our praise. 🙌

🌟This morning in OC kids we were discussing the question ‘what is worship?’

🙌We praised God for the things we are thankful for with joy and silliness, we recognised what God has done for us by taking communion, and we thought about how we can worship in the way we live our lives.💖
