🌟 Myth & Mentoring: Seeing the Gold Within 🌟

What a powerful Session 4 of Myth & Mentoring! We had a great crowd, including many new faces, as we explored Attuning to Boys' Needs. A common reflection was how valuable these skills are—not just for mentoring boys, but for everyday life.

Now, we invite you to our 5th and final session on Monday, March 10th 7-9pm:

How do you support teenage boys to share what's going on in their life?

Creating space for teenage boys to share what’s truly going on in their lives is more important than ever. But how do we ensure they feel safe, heard, and understood?

In our recent Myth & Mentoring trainings, we’ve been exploring flow in conversations and attuning to boys’ needs—helping them feel seen and supported in a world that can often feel confusing.

🎄 Myth and Mentoring Workshop Recap - Part Two 🌟

As the holiday season approaches, we want to send a big thank-you to everyone who joined us for Part Two of our Myth and Mentoring Workshop! Together, we had a recap of the heart of Journeyman’s mentoring method for teenage boys: LAAMB—Listen, Admire, Accept, Model, Bless.

This approach is all about creating a space where boys feel safe to share their thoughts, express who they are, and be celebrated for it.

We also had the pleasure of diving into another powerful myth shared by Marcus, which opened the door to this month’s theme: Flow. If you’ve spent time with teenage boys, you know that getting them to open up can sometimes be tricky!

We explored how we, as mentors, can support their journey to find their voice in a safe and encouraging environment, whether in mentoring circles or during Rites of Passage through the power of flow in conversation.

Marcus and I are thrilled to invite you to the next session in our 6-part series on Myth and Mentoring, where we’re diving into the tools and techniques that help create real, impactful connections with teenage boys. 🌟

This month, we’re focusing on:

✅ Core LAAMBing Skills (Listen, Accept, Admire, Model, Bless) to strengthen your mentoring approach.
✅ Creating Flow in Conversations – learn how to generate and sustain meaningful dialogue, both in circles and in daily life.

A huge shoutout to all the amazing men who showed up for Myth and Mentoring! 🙌 Your presence and commitment made the evening unforgettable. Together, we explored powerful tools and age-old myths, diving deep into how to truly connect with teenage boys on their level. Watching everyone engage, share, and grow was nothing short of inspiring. This is the kind of community-building and learning that makes all the difference. 💪✨

Following an analysis of our 2022 pre and post evaluations from our Rites of Passage (ROPA), we found that 100% of boys said it had helped them better understand themselves and their emotions.
