Bristol University Opera Society Welcome to Bristol University Opera Society! Our society provides unmissable opportunities for students to discover the world of opera. Join us!

We produce two full-scale operas and hold a number of concerts, masterclasses and socials every year. BOpS is the only opera society at the University of Bristol providing students with a platform to showcase their performing arts talents. Our most recent productions have included Mozart's Don Giovanni (2018), Janacek's The Cunning Little Vixen (2019) and Mozart’s The Magic Flute (2021 - staged virtually on account of COVID). When we're not performing on stage, we hold a number of smaller events. These include regular arias concerts and recitals which give members other chances to perform, alumni masterclasses, opera screening socials, trips to opera houses, termly formals and Performing Arts nights out. We are always on the lookout for new members; instrumentalists, singers, conductors, directors, producers, or anyone who fancies trying something new - we will welcome you with open arms! We will be posting all our latest activities and events on this page so keep your eye on it as you won't want to miss out. https://www.instagram.com/bristolunibops/
