PLEASE HELP.
Bristol Council (BC) is "consulting" (I use that term loosely) with Allotment holders and the new regulations are alarming.
- BC has no understanding that allotments aren't just about growing veg but about community, physical & mental health, fitness.
- For many, their allotment provides a sanctuary especially for those without their own home or garden.
- BC regulations will include cutting down trees and hedges (in total contradition to their other policies)
- It's likely that our wonderful Bristol Street Goats will have to give up due to the hike in fees.
- Fees are being increased by more than 100%
- BC is also demanding additional fees to have bees, hens, a pond, polytunnel ....
PLEASE help us and sign the petition (you don't need to have an allotment, just a BS postcode)
