PLEASE HELP.
Bristol Council (BC) is "consulting" (I use that term loosely) with Allotment holders and the new regulations are alarming.
- BC has no understanding that allotments aren't just about growing veg but about community, physical & mental health, fitness.
- For many, their allotment provides a sanctuary especially for those without their own home or garden.
- BC regulations will include cutting down trees and hedges (in total contradition to their other policies)
- It's likely that our wonderful Bristol Street Goats will have to give up due to the hike in fees.
- Fees are being increased by more than 100%
- BC is also demanding additional fees to have bees, hens, a pond, polytunnel ....
PLEASE help us and sign the petition (you don't need to have an allotment, just a BS postcode)
There is a large group of people who are working really hard to get the current consultation redrafted. To keep in the loop with this, sign up to the newsletter.

More signs incoming!

We had a lovely session today with a little bit of painting and sawing, but mostly just connecting and laughing and chatting in the fresh outdoors

It's fresh and frosty out there folks! ❄️ We're still going ahead with todays Saturday Session of nature therapy down at Strawberry Lane Community Garden. Feel free to pop along for as little or as much of it as you fancy.

We know it's hard to get outside when it's cold and dark, but it's always seems to be worth the effort for the mind!

Hot drinks to keep us warm and we might even get a fire going.... 🔥

Blue skies today at the garden! 🍂🌞🌿
We pruned back the fig tree, made a new door for the roost, realised why no-one wears white tees for gardening and cleared out the pond just in time to spot a frog in the wild elegantly plop right in! 🐸
Got ideas for how to use the space? Art club, team building or even woodwork were some of the ideas come up with today. Send us a message.
