We love making new friends! We recently got to meet some amazing creatures as part of our weekly Twiglets group. Some were soft and fluffy, others were spikey and we even had a few slimy creatures too! It was great to learn more about the animals and we had lots of fun exploring their different textures, appearance and sounds.

With the unpredictable Autumn weather, we're thinking back to sunnier times today to our Summer garden sessions where we got to explore all of the wonderful outdoor sensory equipment we have on offer at our centre.

We always look forward to a trip on The Willow Trust boat! It was great to take in the different scenery from the water, engage our senses, and develop our confidence. It seems we had some future captains on board too, with some of our young people even steering the boat!

We love to explore new places, near and far! We recently partnered up with GWR to travel on a train to Weston Super Mare. They provided excellent accessible travel for us which started and ended our day in a super fun way. It was so great to experience a new place and make lots of amazing memories together. We can't wait for our next adventure!

It's always great to see families developing their bond and making special memories together! We love to support this through sensory exploration and encouraging the children and young people to guide activities and teach us how to explore - even if it does mean putting silly soap on your head!

We recently enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon at Bristol Cycling Centre having a go at inclusive cycling, frame running, yoga, bowls, football, kinball, rounders and sensory activities. There really was something for everyone to enjoy and discover! A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the event such a success, including Soleil Salutations, Cerebral Palsy Plus, Recreate Sport plus Bristol Cycling Centre.

Our Twiglets became Paralympians for the day! They had a brilliant morning trying out adapted formats of boccia, badminton and rowing and received medals for their hard work. Badminton definitely won as the favourite sport!

With Autumn upon us, it's a great time to get outdoors and explore all of the amazing seasonal changes through a sensory walk! We really enjoyed our recent event, visiting our local park, and creating our own journey sticks to capture all our fun discoveries.
