Tara Clerkin Trio
25 Oct 2026

Echoes of Bristol’s trip‑hop lineage, avant‑pop, modern classical, kraut‑folk, audio verité, and even shades of indie rock can be heard, the trio ultimately sound like no one but themselves—idiosyncratic, evocative, and consistently surprising.

March 1976 - the final hymn rings around the almost vacant pews of Holy Trinity.
A praise song and a funeral rite calling time on a church once described as 'the cathedral of the East'. The music that followed could not have been more different.

Following the reconsecration of Holy Trinity Church in 1976, the building began to be used for community and cultural activities, including music events, before the Bristol Caribbean Community Enterprise Group formally took it into community use in 1977 and opened the Trinity Community Institute in 1978.

Do you have any photos or memories of those first community events between 1976 and 1977?
