We know how challenging the EBSA journey can be for children, young people and their families and how important it is for parent carers to feel supported too ๐Ÿ’›

This June, our Mental Health Support Team (MHST) will be joining SGPC and SEND and You for a supportive event for parent carers of children and young people with SEND experiencing Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA).

Weโ€™ll be there alongside professionals from Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership to chat about the support available for families and schools, answer questions, and connect with parent carers in a welcoming and understanding space.

The event will also include:
โœจ Tea, refreshments and opportunities to connect with other parent carers
โœจ Early access to new EBSA wellbeing videos
โœจ Information, support and signposting
โœจ A small goodie bag to to take home

OTRโ€™s Nature Works in Kingswood Park project is a chance for young people aged 12-16 to spend some time outdoors, meet other young people, and try out nature-based crafts and activities to support their wellbeing. ๐ŸŒ

Facilitated by Nicky and Emily from OTR, each week there will be new things to try. All activities are optional and itโ€™s fine to simply come along to chill and chat. We will be cooking on the campfire when weather permits, and there will be cold drinks and snacks available whatever the weather! โ˜€๏ธ

More information and sign-ups at Nature Works in Kingswood Park - OTR or find out more by the following the link in our bio ๐Ÿฆ‹

*The project is not on during half term (Tuesday 26th May) but will be back on Tuesday 2nd June and then every Tuesday until the end of July. *

โœจ Manage anxiety and stress
โœจ Improve your mood
โœจ Build confidence
โœจ Reach your personal goals

Think of it as updating your mental software with tools that actually help.

Small changes can make a big difference. Sign up today and take the first step towards feeling better.

๐ŸŒผ Why not spend some time in nature this May?

As the days get longer and warmer, May is a great time to step outside and reconnect with nature. Even a short walk in a local park, sitting in the sunshine, or noticing flowers and birds can help reduce stress and improve your mood.

Why don't you try..

๐Ÿƒ Sitting somewhere green and notice five things you can see.
๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ Opening your window and take a few deep breaths of fresh air.
๐ŸŒฑ Plant seeds or care for a houseplant.
