BristolCon One of the UK's popular science fiction and fantasy conventions. There’s also a games room and a ‘brick-out’ space (a cafe-style area with Lego to play with).

Bristol Con is a one-day science fiction and fantasy convention organised by the Bristol Con Foundation, a charitable foundation set up to support and promote speculative fiction writing, art and related activities in the South West. The convention was created in 2009 by members of the Bristol Fantasy & SF Society, and has since become renowned as a fun, friendly and informative addition to the UK’s convention calendar. Every year we feature panel discussions and lectures, an art show and small group sessions including kaffeeklatsches and workshops. Books, comics and merchandise are available in the dealers’ room and authors will be available for book signings. A variety of entertainment is offered in the evening.

Star Trek is 60! Who else was around in the mid to late 70s when the fandom really got going in the UK? Penny Hill and Judith Mortimore would like to chair a discussion at BristolCon around those early days - we think it would be eye-opening to younger fans to find out how little material we had to work with! If you're coming to BristolCon and are interested in joining the discussion, please email [email protected].
