South Glos Parent Carers - not for profit CIC are offering some help for the summer holidays.

Are you dreading the summer holidays?
Do your children have different needs?
Are they always in conflict?

In this two hour online workshop, we will talk about understanding and helping to manage differences between the needs of siblings. We will be discussing different scenarios and consider how we can help our children live side-by-side.

The session will be led by Corrina from Platypus Training, who brings a wealth of personal and professional experience in neurodiversity. Corrina holds a Master’s degree in Autism and has worked for over 15 years as a Family Services Manager, developing services for families, children, and young people. She has extensive experience supporting families of children with both autism and ADHD.

The workshop will be recorded for those who are unable to attend live.

This is a reminder that AFRS will never charge for a Home Fire Safety Visit and we will never cold call.

We’re sharing this due to recent scams where elderly residents received a fraudulent message claiming they could be fined if they didn’t have working smoke alarms. This was not sent by a fire and rescue service.

We will always be in uniform and always carry identification.

Please look out for vulnerable friends, neighbours and relatives. If you receive anything suspicious, do not engage. Fraud can be reported to Crimestoppers - 0800 555 111.

Reopening of the M4 overbridge

National Highways A432 Badminton Road M4 overbridge reopening.

The bridge will reopen to pedestrians and cyclists this Friday afternoon (1pm), and to all traffic 7am Saturday 20 June.

To support the transition to normal traffic arrangements, a number of road closures will remain in place for a limited period. Coalsack Lane, Ruffet Road and Cooks Lane will remain closed until 13 July. Temporary traffic signals at Henfield and Tormarton will remain in place until the weekend of 10 July.
