What an incredible start to Wildscreen Festival Kenya 2026 🇰🇪

We had an amazing first day in Nairobi with panel talks on everything from how to be the best collaborators to getting funding for your project and some expert insights into crafting a natural history story!

A huge thank you to all of today’s speakers, moderators and our fantastic host pauline_kyalo for making the opening day of the festival such a success!

As our Festival Advisory Board Chair, Faith Musembi, said today; “These festivals have evolved from knowledge sharing to catalysts for meaningful growth across wildlife filmmaking.”

If you missed Day 1 there’s still time to join us for Day 2. Online Passes include livestreamed sessions, the WildPitch competition, virtual networking, and 30-day access to recordings from both festival days. (link in bio)

Special thanks to our sponsors for helping make Wildscreen Festival Kenya 2026 possible, including Headline Sponsor, Wildstar Foundation (Wildstar Films), Major Sponsor, University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) and Sponsors BBC Studios Natural History Unit (BBC Studios), The Wilderness Project (Great Spine of Africa), and The Fable Fund ()
