My grandma used to say “ you have a sensitive heart”. She realised my truest state is not calmer. She would hear me struggling to articulate myself as a went into an intense stuttering. The internalised humiliation and frustration used to make in anger, upset and then I would go into self-silent mode.
Being calm has been a personal discipline and a journey of finding stillness within and lay there regardless of external or internal noise.
Being in the moment doesn’t mean one needs to react. In the moment a reaction is also being calm.
Strive for the inner peace ✌🏾. The world is already a challenging place.
