A FEW WORDS FROM HUW WESTON - Filta

As musicians, it’s easy to get caught up in the small things:
The perfect lighting
The dream slot on the bill
The fee
The soundcheck.
But when you zoom out, none of that matters without one thing: your health.

That’s why we’re proud supporters of Sue, the team at It's in the Bag Testicular Cancer Support and TEST FEST 2026

🧡This festival does something truly special — it brings together great music and life‑saving awareness in a way that’s simple, clever and unforgettable.

🤔It reminds every performer and every festival‑goer that looking after yourself is what makes all the other dreams possible. Test Fest gives us the chance to live out that “rock star for an hour” feeling while standing behind a cause that genuinely matters. We’re always humbled to be invited back, and honoured to play our part in supporting such important work.

🫶Thank you for being here, thank you for checking (always check them), and thank you for supporting the artists on stage and the charity behind it all.

Your presence helps keep this mission alive.
Thank you Huw for your kind words and for being there for us too:

10 DAYS TO GO! AND We’ve had Royal Mail… literally 🫅

The Test Fest has received a letter from His Majesty The King, sending his warm wishes and support for our festival and the work we do raising awareness of testicular cancer.

We’re feeling incredibly proud — and even more excited for 20th June, which also happens to be His Majesty’s official birthday. A very happy birthday from all of us at Test Fest.

This year’s festival is shaping up to be our biggest yet:
🎸 18 live bands across two stages
🍺 Local beer, cider and great food
👨‍👩‍👧 Family‑friendly all day (kids 12 & under go FREE)
🎪 Community stalls, games and good vibes
💛 All supporting It’s in the Bag, the South West’s only testicular cancer charity

🚗💛 2,700 Miles. One £350 Audi. One Father & Son. One Life‑Saving Cause.
On 11th June 2026, my dad and I are setting off on a 2,700‑mile banger rally from Cornwall to Monaco and back — in a car worth less than £500.

And yes… we found a £350 2004 Audi A4 Avant.
After 16 years working for Audi, it had to be an Audi.

But this rally isn’t about the car.
It’s about something far bigger.

💛 Why I’m Doing This
At 18, I was diagnosed with testicular cancer.

For months I was told it was “nothing to worry about”.
Then, sitting in a hospital room with my dad beside me, I heard the word no young man expects to hear: cancer.

While my mates were planning nights out, I was learning about chemotherapy, surgery, fertility fears, and the terrifying unknowns that come with a cancer diagnosis.

I was told I might never have children.
I was scared.
I was overwhelmed.
And I needed support.

That’s where It's in the Bag Testicular Cancer Support comes in.

They are the ONLY dedicated testicular cancer charity in the South West, supporting men from checking and diagnosis through treatment and life beyond.
Their reassurance, honesty, humour, and practical help make the darkest moments survivable.

Today, I’m one of the lucky ones.
I caught it early.
I made a full recovery.
And I now have two perfect little boys of my own.

So now it’s my turn to give something back.

🧡 The Reality
Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in men aged 15–45

2,500+ men are diagnosed every year in the UK

When caught early, it’s over 96% curable

Awareness genuinely saves lives

🚗 The Rally Route
Starting in Namur (Belgium) → Freiburg (Germany) → Switzerland → Italy → Monaco & Nice…
…and then all the way back again.
In a 22‑year‑old £350 Audi.
What could possibly go wrong?

💛 Every Penny Helps
We’re covering all expenses ourselves.
Every single pound donated goes straight to It’s in the Bag.

Whether you’ve been affected personally, know someone who has, or simply want to support a charity that helps men through the toughest moments of their lives — thank you.

Huge thanks to It’s in the Bag, Truro Audi, and D2C Signs for their support.

On the final day of Volunteers' Week , we’re celebrating a very special part of the It’s in the Bag family… our Patrons.

We’re proud to have six incredible Patrons supporting our charity.

Each one brings something unique — their voice, their experience, their networks, their encouragement — and together they help us raise awareness, strengthen partnerships and reach more men and families across the South West.

Thank you
