It is the direct route to reaching our ultimate vision to have positive aspirations, social cohesion and ethical values throughout the global community. Aspiration Creation Elevation CIC (ACE) was set-up in April 2013 by three young music-mentoring professionals. They formed the organisation to continue the delivery of music mentoring activities to the youths in Bristol’s disadvantaged communities

; using creative arts activities as a vehicle to mentor, educate & inspire young people towards becoming positive members of their community. This type of engagement to disadvantaged young people can provide the needed inspiration, empowerment & positivity to implement cohesion & growth within their communities. ACE look beyond the surface of what today’s disadvantaged youths face:

• A cycle of inequality,
• Low aspirations
• Negativity
• High risk of criminal record before 18

Which ultimately have damaging affects on families, communities & even societies.

“All three of us have shared a journey of starting-out as youths attending local music projects, to later leading music projects as young adults & now being young Social Entrepreneurs running an organisation that supports today’s youths in the same way we were supported.”
As a Community Interest Company, we feel it’s crucial that we operate on multiple fronts, which all contribute towards our overarching aim of reaching more people and provide a wider range of positive community activities. These vital services are mostly sustained by funding grants to carryout the work. We hope to sustain & expand our community work through increasing our commercial and commissioning profits to reinvest. It is fundamental to making our oranisation self-sustainable in the future. The engines that will enable us to do that are our Commercial and Commission services found on our website.

Being recognised at the Bristol Legends Awards meant a lot to us.

The room was full of people doing incredible work across Bristol and it was an honour to be part of that space.

We also brought one of our young people along so they could experience the night first-hand — seeing positive role models and the power of community leadership.

Experiences like that stay with young people.
