Looking for a meaningful way to spend a few hours each week? Join our community of volunteers supporting people seeking asylum and refugees in Bristol.

🌞 Summer Free Shop Volunteers– Have some spare time on your hands this summer and looking to put it to good use? Join us once a week for a 5-hour shift at our Free Shop, providing essential items to those who need them most.

⚽️ Football Volunteers – Join our Tuesday and/or Wednesday groups from 2:00–4:30pm. The vibes are immaculate! ✨

☕️ ABC Café Volunteers – Support our new drop-in by giving 3 hours of your week (10:00am–1:00pm) to help create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

🧚‍♀️ Women’s Group Volunteers – If you love meeting new people and enjoy arts and crafts, this is for you! Mondays from 11:00am–1:00pm.

😇JOIN THE ANGELS! 🪽

Did you know over 30% of our income comes from community funding? That’s pretty heavenly if you ask us! 💛

Our community is the beating heart of ABC, but the funding landscape is getting tougher.

So, we’re calling in the Angels! 😇

We’re launching ABC Angels, a programme to bring our brilliant supporters together, share ideas and develop local fundraising in a way that works for the community. 💫

Over the years, we’ve been supported by some pretty amazing local fundraisers. Running a half marathon in sandals? Swimming 22miles? Abseiling off a cliff edge? Our supporters are real life superheroes and, with the support of ABC Angels, you could be one of them! ❣️🚀

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming and her team to visit our Free Shop and Welcome Hub 💛

Joining us at ABC Cafe, our daily drop in space, Carla put up a great fight in a competitive game of table football and we spoke about the importance of free, welcoming spaces, open 5 days a week, for our community.

We also shared how grateful we are for the incredible generosity of our local community, whose donations help keep our Free Shop stocked with essential supplies for people rebuilding their lives here in Bristol. 🏡❣️

WE DID IT!! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️💨

What a weekend! On Saturday and Sunday, 53 incredible runners crossed the finish line at the Great Bristol Run, all raising funds in support of refugees in Bristol❣️

⭐️ This year we raised a record-breaking £15,600 for ABC!! ⭐️
We are completely blown away by your efforts. A massive thank you enough to all who ran, fundraised and supported us- you’re all amazing! 💪

🚀 Together we ran a whopping 690km with incredible smiles, cheers and non-stop support every step of the way!

🟡 19 Half Marathon runners
🟡 7 kids
Every step taken and penny raised has made a HUGE difference in spreading hope and love to people rebuilding their lives in Bristol.

From a buzz cut to flowing silver locks, Chris fully committed to the journey, transforming himself into a Erling Haaland lookalike! 💇‍♂️ ✨ Not only a brand-new look, but a life changing impact too!

Many of the people we support are receiving refugee status- which should be a moment of hope. But instead, they’re given just 42 days to find a job and accommodation. With no support and impossible odds, many end up homeless.

We’re well stocked on women’s clothes, but our men’s section is running low 😢. Your donation can make a real difference.

We’ve been working on something special at ABC… and we’d love for you to be a part of it!

💡The idea is simple: we know that we’re incredibly lucky to have so many brilliant supporters who care deeply about what we do and have great ideas, skills and energy.
