Thank you to everyone who came along and supported the Bristol Wanderers Annual Golf Day at Shirehampton Park Golf Club last month. It was a fabulous turnout, and together you raised an incredible £3,000 to help fund our initiatives supporting young people in communities around Bristol. Thank you, thank you, thank you. 🙏

Talking about knife crime with a young person can feel difficult, worrying and, at times, overwhelming. It can be hard to know how to start the conversation or what to say.

Our free online Safer Together session has been created to help parents, carers and guardians feel more supported and confident when having these conversations. The session draws on the real experiences of young people, but is carefully focused on understanding, practical support and positive ways forward rather than distressing headlines.

We’ll explore some of the pressures young people may face, alongside simple ways to build trust, listen openly and create a safe space for difficult conversations. You’ll also be introduced to our A-C-E approach - Acknowledge, Curiosity and Explore - designed to help adults respond calmly and supportively when sensitive topics come up.

The session will also share practical resources, local support and information about anonymous reporting through Crimestoppers in the West Country and Fearless.

You can’t pour from an empty cup - and when your work is centred around supporting children and young people, looking after your own wellbeing matters too.

Our conference isn’t just about gaining knowledge. It’s also about creating space to connect, reflect, have honest conversations and consider the wellbeing of the people doing this important work every day.

In this video, we explore why wellbeing has been deliberately woven into the day - because supporting those who support others matters.

Looking for a relaxed, inclusive activity this October Half Term? 💜

Our FREE SEND Stay & Play sessions are back, giving children and young people with SEND, their families and siblings a welcoming space to spend time together, get creative and enjoy activities at their own pace.

There’s plenty to explore, including arts and crafts, drama and storytelling, wellbeing activities and food-based activities, alongside support and signposting for families.

Most importantly, there’s no pressure to take part in everything. Children can join in however feels right for them.

Thanks to The National Lottery Community Fund, South Gloucestershire Council and Bristol City Council, the sessions are fully funded and free to attend.

We’ve got a big packing session coming up and we’d LOVE some extra help from our brilliant local business community.

We’ll be getting everything prepared and packed ready for our winter campaign - and as you might have seen from last year, we pack thousands of creative activity packs, stuffed full of crafty stationery and our beautifully illustrated activity book.

Last night we enjoyed a very special evening at Bristol Cathedral. 💜

Krystal and Cat attended the Legal Service marking the beginning of the Legal Year and Michaelmas Law Term, coordinated by the High Sheriff of Bristol, Mrs Anne Nisbet DL.

This year’s service recognised organisations working with young people from under-resourced communities, creating opportunities, raising aspirations and supporting them to make positive choices.

It was particularly meaningful to hear Anne reflect on the youth organisations she has championed during her time as High Sheriff, including the Bristol Youth & Community Action (BYCA) programme, which has helped us make our bursary scheme available to even more young people.

Throughout the evening, there were powerful reflections on the collaboration, commitment and care that exists across Bristol’s legal and community sectors, and the vital role young people themselves have in shaping our city’s future.

A really inspiring evening, and a lovely reminder of why we do what we do. 💜
