We’re so thrilled to announce that has awarded us £50k from its Community Energy Fund. This will enable us to conduct a feasibility study on the optimal mix of solar PV micro grid, ground source heat and anaerobic digestion. We’ll also be finding out if there might be potential to feed ground source heat to atleast some of our immediate neighbours, thereby reducing their heating bills and growing their resilience too 🤩💪🏼💚

Help us get our first planning application over the line!

Our planning application for our first urban Tiny House Cohousing Regenerative Settlement is in with Bristol City Council and seems to be moving apace.

⏰ We don't yet have a deadline for folks to add comments, but as things seem to be moving swiftly, gaining supportive comments feels like something that we need as soon as poss.

📌 Click on the link below for our application on the planning portal
https://pa.bristol.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=documents&keyVal=SBH6BNDNMT100

✨ What we are asking for you to do:

🖊 Submit your own comments by clicking on the tab called 'Comments'.

Questions to ponder as you write your comment…

What do you like about the scheme?
Why do you feel it is needed?
What benefits will it bring to the local neighbourhood and to the city?
How does it help to bring about Bristol’s vision for a resilient, just, equal, peaceful future, and to be a zero carbon and nature rich city by 2030?

Once we have gained planning permission 🤞🤞🤞 we can start the actual physical work! Exciting!

Thank you so much in advance! 💚

We’re so thrilled, excited and proud to share Tiny House Community Bristol ‘s first planning application for our first urban Tiny House Cohousing Regenerative Settlement in Sea Mills, Bristol 😃
It’s been an incredibly fascinating, challenging, growthful process for all of us at THCB, which we have undertaken using a deeply democratic process of dynamic governance called Sociocracy.
I can’t thank our wonderful and amazing co-Project Manager Noah Fagan enough, for all of his patience, care, guidance, perseverance, optimism, laughter and friendship! You’re our superhero, Noah! The many volunteers who dedicated thousands of hours of their time
So many thanks too for all the wonderful design work ftom Barefoot Architects and invaluable planning consultancy expertise from James Shorten at Perma Geo, including his ReSet Framework! Also, the amazing support from Patrycja Waclawczyk and her team at Buro Happold
We couldn’t have achieved any of this without the thousands of hours of unpaid work from our wonderful volunteers, who are also the prospective residents; and the amazing funding support from Power to Change Resonance Limited Venturesome and the Community Housing Fund. Thank you so much to all of you.
