Here's another great creative that will be exhibiting her work at the BS4 Arts Trail on Saturday 13th June.

Carrie Francis is a local painter and crafter who is heavily inspired by landscape scenes and the flora and fauna of the natural world.
Working in acrylics and even some UV reactive paints creating a dream like quality to her work.

Carrie Francis has recently had her paintings published in the the Arts to Hearts book, a coffee table publication for international galleries.
Come along and see her work on display and read her Q&A page in the book where she discusses her inspirations as well as art's role in healing and recovery.

Community Networks, a mixed-media tabletop exhibition that explores the interconnected nature of mushroom mycelium alongside the ways we build and nurture connections within our own communities.

Through his work, Oliver Woods hopes to encourage meaningful communication while showcasing creativity.
One of the key features of his exhibition is a community-created mycelium network.

Engaging with the community and striving to make a positive difference is deeply important to both his creative practice and his experience as a disabled person. Being able to contribute to society in his own way is incredibly fulfilling.

The idea behind this collaborative piece was inspired by mycelium networks — the underground root systems of mushrooms.

He Invited members of the community to design strands of fabric based on what community means to them.

Developed in collaboration with two creative groups: Creative Space at Faithspace in Redcliffe, a group he helped establish, and Creative Cuppa at the Knowle West Media Centre, a community close to his heart.

By bringing together everyone’s ideas, he created a vibrant network of colour, emotion, and shared experiences.

At the heart of this work is the beauty and importance of community.
When people come together, combining their unique perspectives and creativity, they can create something truly powerful — both artistically and within the community itself.
