Part of Bristol SU, we provide a space for students to engage with and learn about the fields of archaeology and anthropology, and having fun doing it!

It's that time of year again where we have our Annual General Meeting (AGM)! This is an opportunity to present yourself as a candidate for next year's committee, vote on roles and make your opinions known!

If you would like to nominate yourself for a role, please carefully read through the committee role descriptions and fill out the form linked in the bio.

If you are not interested in running but you are a member, please come along to vote! We need a minimum of 50% of members present to vote in the new committee.

Remember you MUST be a member to run for committee and vote in the election!

We're pleased to announce the Archaeology and Anthropology Society is hosting a Summer Formal to celebrate surviving another year of university! 🏺🪏👥📖✨

We’ll be hosting this at the Square Club off Berkeley Square for the third year in a row, with an evening of food, drinks, good company and dancing! Come along, whether member or non-member, and feel free to bring along your friends! Hope to see you all there! 💕

We'll be switching things up at our pub social this week and will be having a volunteer, experiences and career showcase!! 💀🏺📜🏛️🦴

Members of the Arch & Anth Society can share what they've been up to over summer and in their spare time, in the hopes of giving everyone some inspiration and pointers on all things extracurricular - particularly useful for the 1st and 2nd years!✨

If you're interested in presenting something please fill out the form linked in the bio, it'll be a very chill and relaxed environment so please come along and take part or just to listen. As always we'll be at the White Bear so we can do this pint in hand 🍻

This will also be a good opportunity to come up to the 2nd and 3rd years after the talks to ask about module options, next year opportunities and questions about the department 😛

Come test your archaeology, anthropology & general knowledge with friends and classmates in a lighthearted competition!

Team will consist of 5-6 people, and you can come with a team already formed or we can arrange a team for you - so please come along and don't worry if you don't already have one!

The Department of Anthropology and Archaeology is hosting an end of TB1 party open to all Anthropology and Archaeology students! Come along to enjoy some pizza and music (DJ-ing by our very own Neil Carrier), and bring some refreshments with you!! 🍕🥂

After the department party, the society will be heading to The White Bear for a little pub night after party 🍻
