Hillfields Community Garden A resident led charity in Hillfields, East Bristol. We manage Hillfields Community Garden and Hillfields Park Community Centre.

We have built raised beds and planted a tree orchard of fruit trees. Main aims of the project:
· Provide a much needed community group in Hillfields for all ages.
· Provide volunteering opportunities which help to reduce unemployment and isolation.

🎻💃 OUR CEILIDH IS BACK, HILLFIELDS! 🕺🎶

Get ready to kick up your heels, grab a partner and dance the evening away! Our much-loved community ceilidh is back Friday 20 November, bringing live music, plenty of laughs and a whole lot of community spirit.

Led by our very own live Hillfields Ceilidh band, this fun-filled evening is a community fundraiser — so you can have a brilliant time while supporting your local community! ❤️

🎟️ £10 per adult / £6 per child
📍 Hillfields Park Community Centre, Thicket Avenue, Bristol, BS16 4EH

🍰 Our Community Café will be open serving drinks and snacks to keep you fuelled between dances!

Whether you're a seasoned ceilidh dancer or have absolutely no idea which way to turn, everyone is welcome. Bring your friends, bring the family and come ready to have a good time!

We had a lovely time at this months Sow and Soup session on Saturday. Thanks to all of the people who came along and helped. We had some fantastic conversations about composting, soil and city networks. We had our first compost harvest, which was very exciting - however - we realised that we need more organic matter and so the Community Kitchen is going to start supplying more veg and fruit clippings!

Our next (and last) session of the year will be on 14th November 11AM-1PM and will include a children's activity!

We're part of the Bristol Climate and Nature Partnership, delivering a range of projects which align to our Community Climate Action Plan - if you want to be part of city wide events there are these 'Green Mingles' which anyone is welcome to attend - registration is necessary. https://events.humanitix.com/green-mingle-november-2026

The Autumn sun is planning on shining and there is plenty to be helping with in the community garden this weekend!

We'll be planting flowers, planting bulbs and Autumn garlic. Free lunch provided and no gardening experience needed.

We're looking for kitchen volunteers at Hillfields Park Community Centre!

Our food programme runs because of people like you. Whether you're a confident cook or have never chopped an onion, we'd love to have you on the team.

What you'll get out of it:
✅ Learn new skills in a busy, real kitchen
✅ Build your confidence and prepare for work experience
✅ Join a friendly, welcoming team
✅ Give back to your local community
