This is a trip of a lifetime for sisters of colour - when you will find yourself, whether you have faith or not

Walk to the Edge of the Earth
A Taste‑and‑See Camino for Women
Behold. Become. Belong.

Dear Sister Pilgrim,

There’s a place on the Spanish coast where the land simply stops. Where the horizon opens, the wind shifts, and women have stood for centuries whispering, “I made it.”
That place is Finisterre—the end of the earth.

This June, you’re invited to walk there. Not as a tourist, but as a pilgrim. Not alone, but with a circle of women ready to behold the world, become more themselves, and belong to something ancient and beautiful.

🌿 Your Camino Taster Journey
Meet: Santiago de Compostela
Dates: 27 June – 1 July 2026
Route: Santiago → Finisterre (approx. 90km)
Group: Women only | Max 12
Cost: £325
Deposit: £75 (non‑refundable)

Flights not included. Pilgrims arrange their own travel and meet in Santiago.

🌊 Why Walk to Finisterre?
Before the Camino became famous, pilgrims kept walking west—towards the sea, the sunset, and the unknown. Finisterre was believed to be the very edge of the world.

Women still walk there today to:

Behold their lives with fresh eyes

Become who they’re growing into

Belong to a lineage of brave, barefoot, bold pilgrims

Some leave a stone. Some leave a fear. Some leave a story they’re finally ready to outgrow.
The ocean receives it all.

🏡 What’s Included
5 nights in traditional albergues (women’s shared dorms; limited single rooms available at a supplement)

Pilgrim Passport

4 evening meals

There's only 10 days left to apply to be a long-term volunteer on Skomer for the 2026 season!

We understand the financial strain of long-term volunteering and we're working hard to make it cost neutral. As such, in the role you will receive:
- Free accommodation (including bills) on Skomer.
- Travel expenses to and from Skomer including car park fees (from within the UK).
- We have a training budget for our long-term volunteers. Training provided will vary depending on the time of year, however may include a brushcutter or first aid course.
- A £400 bursary is also available from the Friends of Skokholm and Skomer upon completion of a report which will be included in their newsletter.

To find out more about this and the positions, please see our website: https://www.welshwildlife.org/volunteering-opportunities/skomer-island-long-term-volunteering
