Friends of Hotwells Piazza & Art Under the Flyover Friend of Hotwells Piazza/Art under the Flyover exploring creative ways of improving the Cumberland Piazza with locals and artists - please join us!

Art under the Flyover is a continuing programme of arts in the Cumberland Piazza to enliven and regenerate this iconic space. In the1960’s streets in Hotwells were cleared to make way for a flyover and the area underneath was re-designed by landscape architect, Sylvia Crowe. For the 2013 West Bristol Arts Trail artists with long term local connections have devised interventions to evoke the past, present and future with media including print, poetry, video, audio, paint and stencil. In 2015 we painted the pillars and working with artists including Dave Bain and since that time we have worked with several more artists and local volunteers including Luke Palmer, Amy Hutchings and Mhairi Stuart on community led arts projects.
