Thank you so much to all the wonderful people of Bristol who donate their time to cleaning and tidying our city! If you'd like to help but are unable to volunteer, cutting back on household waste and single use items can help reduce rubbish, and binning/recycling any litter you see on your regular commutes can go a long way ♻️

Head along next Thursday to Bristol Clean Street's Volunteer Celebration, to support all the fantastic volunteers who help keep our streets clean and waste free! 👇👇

Some great Valentines top tips! ❤️

Lucky in love?
If you received a gift or card this Valentine’s Day….
Remember to recycle what you can:
• Reuse heartfelt cards to make next year’s one, or fancy birthday labels
• Cardboard from chocolates can go in your recycling box. Remove any plastic moulds inside and recycle them in your other box (as long as it’s not black plastic)
• Flowers once enjoyed and past their best, can go into your compost or garden waste bin
• If that cuddly teddy is not your thing – find someone who would like it

Check out Share Bristol - A Library of Things if there are any bits and bobs you need to borrow this New Year!

A much more sustainable solution to buying those one-use or rarely used items, and much more cost effective as well ☺️♻️

✨ New year, new things!✨

Our Things span quite a range, and we get new donations throughout the year.
Here are some very varied recent additions:
THE USEFUL: Our first cordless strimmer - while we've had strimmers before, a cordless one has often been requested and high on the wishlist.
THE FUN: for parties or to fend off January blues, the bubble machine is bound to be a hit.
THE UNUSUAL: an electric pie maker makes for a great indoor winter activity.

🙌
