We’re delighted to share that Route 26, featuring and Laurence McKenna, has been selected as a finalist at the 2026 Big Syn International Film Festival in London!

The festival celebrates films advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and we’re thrilled to see Route 26 recognised alongside stories championing a more sustainable future.

Winners will be announced at the festival’s gala awards on 6 November.

A huge congratulations to everyone involved in bringing the series to life! đź’™

There’s more to matchday than the 90 minutes.

The familiar route. The first coffee. Spotting shirts on the way. Meeting mates. That first glimpse of the ground. Even the slightly chaotic bits that somehow become part of the ritual.

This month, we’re thinking about the joy of the journey and all the little things that make getting to a game part of the experience itself.

So, what’s one thing you genuinely enjoy about your matchday outside of the 90 minutes?

We’re very proud of our CEO, Katie Cross, who last week won Gold in the Individual Changemaker of the Year category at the Global Good Awards.

It’s lovely recognition for the energy and determination she has put into Pledgeball.

But she’s also never afraid to laugh at herself when the odd word comes out slightly wrong. Or has a close shave, at least…

Swipe through for a few photos from the awards, followed by Katie explaining how Pledgeball wants to “shave a more inclusive game for everyone”.

Laurence’s reaction says the rest.

Congratulations, Katie đź’™

Could your tennis club put ÂŁ250 towards a more sustainable upgrade?

Two weeks remain in the final round of the LTA Pledgeball League and just one pledge can make all the difference to the table!

Make your simple sustainability pledge in support of your club or venue. Every pledge helps it climb the table, with grants of ÂŁ250, ÂŁ150 and ÂŁ100 available for the top three.

That funding could support a new water refill station, energy-efficient lighting, bike racks, biodiversity work or another environmental improvement.

Everyone who pledges is also entered into the draw for tickets to the 2027 HSBC Championships at Queen’s.

Find your club and make your pledge:

South Korean football is considering a major calendar change as extreme summer heat makes its current season increasingly difficult for players and supporters.

More than 70% of K League coaches surveyed support moving from a March-November season to an August-May calendar.

It raises a much bigger question: if domestic leagues are starting to avoid the hottest months, what does that mean for the future of summer tournaments?

Route ’26 followed Loz and Alex across North America to explore how extreme heat and a changing climate are already reshaping football.

On Sunday, United and City settle it on the pitch. Before then, their supporters have another score to settle.

Manchester United 0–0 Manchester City.

That’s the supporter pledge score ahead of the Manchester derby.

One pledge could break the deadlock. Choose an action that works for you, pledge it in support of your club and help your side climb the Pledgeball League.

Supporting someone else this weekend? You can pledge ahead of any fixture in the football calendar.

Pledge through the link in our bio.
