This month's themed competition challenge was titled 'Hanging by a String' which clearly got the creative brain juices flowing and resulted in some very different creations- well done all those who entered.

May club night - a fantastic turnout of members, plus a couple of visitors to the club, for a great demonstration by Jason Breach who took us through the process of turning a wide rim off centre wobble bowl!

Bucket loads of skill, design and hints and tips for all levels.

APRIL MEETING - AGM & WOODTURNER OF THE YEAR

This year saw some major changes to the club committee, with a number of long serving members leaving and new volunteers stepping up. Thankyou to all those who give their time and enthusiasm to keep the club moving forward.

This years annual competition saw a great number of entries, 32 in total spread between the two main categories.

The club monthly theme for March was 'I only used a skew' and the number of entries for the competition were perhaps fewer than usual, I wonder why?

Nevertheless, those that did make a piece for the club night competition made up for lack of numbers with their obvious show of skills so congratulations and thanks to all those who took part;

Our March club night played host to Stephen Kearvell who gave us a great demonstration on turning a lovely shaped wide rimmed platter followed by the application of a metal leaf decoration to the face.

For our February club night we hosted North Wilts turner Dave Branscombe, who gave a well explained demonstration on turning three different styles of budvase - something for everyone!
