Get hands-on experience supporting programmes, events, and digital comms at a grassroots music organisation. Perfect for someone organised, proactive, and keen to work behind the scenes in music and culture.

Over the past few months we’ve been building a relationship with the team at — running workshops, recording sounds from the space, and exploring how TREAD can support its long-term future.

A bit about the farm: Hartcliffe City Farm is a community-led green space in South Bristol, offering education, training, volunteering and wellbeing support for local residents. It’s a vital hub — connecting people to nature, skills, and each other.

Tomorrow we’re back on site as part of our first Open Space season, continuing to explore sound, storytelling and place.

Excited to see where this grows 🍃 🐐

Since launching our TREAD Mobile Studio, we’ve been busy delivering music and sound workshops across Bristol.

We’re proud to introduce you to Open Space — a new four-part programme exploring field recording and sound culture, delivered on location with and .

Designed for 18–25 year olds, this series offers hands-on workshops in radio, soundscape creation, and music production — taking sound out of the studio and into the world around us.

Across the programme we’ll be working from:
🐐 Hartcliffe City Farm ()
🏰Jacob Wells Baths ()
🌳 Leigh Woods (guided by )

This is about listening differently.
Capturing place.
