BRISTOL MTB SCENE 📣 We need your help! 📣

This Saturday - 12th August - is our chance to make Bristol’s MTB trails BETTER.

We’re asking you to join us for just 3 hours to help maintain, repair and refurbish Fifty Acre Woods.

We’re putting in one last big shift before the winter - to protect our trails through the off-season and keep things running ship-shape.

You’ll achieve legend status 🥇

The horse box needs a floor ... can you help?

Can you help our horse box out? Genuine request!

We’re repairing our trusty horse box that we use to transport tools to our dig sites and are in need of some aluminium sheet to keep it rolling.

🧰 It can be corrugated or flat
🧰 It can be in any condition
🧰 Min size of 1000mm x 150mm
🧰 We need 7 of them
🧰 We can cut down from larger sheets

Can you help us out? Get in touch if you can.

As you can see, it’s going to be a struggle to put tools in there right now!

We're back! Huge success on yesterday's dig.

More to do, so keep an eye out for the next dig.

And so it begins. The restoration of 50Acre will take time, but it will be worth it. If you can spare a few hours over the coming months, sign up on our website to hear about future dig days.

This is as good a time as any to announce - BTG is merging with Ride Bristol.

With RB having full charity status, and the cost of running both organisations having increased it became much better for us to operate as one.

We are now insured, and will be walking the trail with the rangers and making plans to get back out on a dig day very soon.

I know you're all itching to donate to the tea, cake, and tools fund it is now much more tax efficient to do so!

Did you know that RideBristol is a charity? We rely on donations from individuals and organisations. This year over 95% of the donations we received came from just three sources. Fewer than 50 people have donated since we became a charity. Last year the trail counters on the Nova trail recorded over 140,000 laps. As Black Friday deals tempt you to part with your cash for more bike stuff, maybe ask yourself what’s going to increase my joy more - better trails or more stuff? We’re not saying don’t treat yourself, just consider treating your trails too.

50acre closed today. Which is a shame because i was about to go.

We’ve just discovered that the 50Acre woods trails are closed due to work being carried out by please avoid as apparently there trees down all over the trails
