Loss and the grief that follows is what started the Nina Franklin fund back in 2020. Being committed to the good fight and being great at it is a tough feat. We are overwhelmingly sad with the sudden and unexpected loss of our founder, Hedley Bashforth. Hedley’s ideas were unique and ultimately is what has led us to our raising of over £100,000 for education in Palestine. Hedley did not think twice about setting the fund up and watching it grow over the years. He never made the fund about himself and always platformed those around him. Our founder and biggest supporter - openly and behind closed doors. May we all have a comrade like Hedley as we continue our fight for justice.

Just a quick message to say thank you to all who attended the film screening on Friday. Although we know it was a hard and emotional experience for all, please take some small comfort in knowing that by watching with us you contributed to the education of other children like Hind.

A five year-old girl was trapped in a car under fire in Gaza, pleading for rescue. While trying to keep her on the line, they do everything they can to get an ambulance to her. Her name is Hind Rajab

✅ Victory for Parents, Teachers and the Community ✊🇵🇸
The planned school visit today (Friday 5th September) by Damian Egan, MP for Bristol North East, has been cancelled after concerns were raised by the NEU trade union staff group, parents and local constituents.
This is a clear message: politicians who openly support Israel's genocidal assault on Gaza are not welcome in our schools. Egan is Vice Chair of Labour Friends of Israel and has visited Israel since the current onslaught on Gaza began, demonstrating his support. We celebrate this cancellation as a win for safeguarding, solidarity, and for the power of trade unionists, parents, and campaigners standing together.
