🎆 We're disappointed we won't be running fireworks this year 😢 but there’s still a reason to celebrate! 🧁❤️

We’ll be holding a cake sale on Friday 6th November at 3:20pm in the outdoor classroom by the Juniors’ playground 🎂

The YSA relies on fundraising to support our school, so with one of our big events missing this year, we really need your support more than ever!

Although this isn’t a YSA fundraising initiative, it’s a really important cause that deserves our support! 💙

The playgrounds at the school are in need of an upgrade, and they are hoping to raise funds to make this happen. This is a fantastic opportunity to help make a real difference for all the children in the school.

If you’re a Co-op member, it’s really easy to support! It only takes a moment to make your choice, but it could make a huge difference to the children and help create a better playground for everyone to enjoy! 🛝

💷 Just £1 per child, with all donations going to YSA to support our school and children.

As the new YSA committee team, we would just like to say a huge thank you to Vickie Thomas, Louise Smith, Libby Watts & Hannah Cook as they step down from their roles on the PTA committee! 🌟

These four individuals have done an incredible job. They have single handedly organised so many amazing events including school discos, movie nights, Fireworks, Carnival and many more. Thank you for all the many hours, days and years you've dedicated to YSA and the creativity and enthusiasm you’ve brought to our school community.

Without your unwavering dedication, the school community would not have enjoyed so many brilliant events and the kids would not have benefited like they have from the amazing funds you have managed to raise. On behalf of all the parents, carers and children at the school, we are so grateful for everything you’ve done at!

🎉 A BIG, WARM WELCOME TO OUR NEW YSA TEAM! 🎉

We were delighted to see 22 people attend our AGM last week, and thanks to such a fantastic turnout, we’ve welcomed lots of new volunteers onto the YSA committee! 💚

We’re thrilled to have lots of new volunteers on board, bringing fresh ideas, enthusiasm and energy. Every member of our committee is a parent with children at the school, so if you spot us in the playground, please come over and say hello!

One of our goals this year is to build an open, welcoming, and inclusive community where every parent feels heard, valued, and connected. To do that, we’d love to hear from you!

Whether you’ve volunteered at every event or haven't had a chance to join in yet, your honest thoughts matter to us. Your feedback is completely anonymous and will directly shape how we communicate, plan activities, and run the YSA this year.

YSA AGM!
Don’t forget - this Wednesday! We need your support more than ever. 🙏

After a fantastic stint on the committee, some key members are stepping down, so we really need new support to keep things going.

Unfortunately, there’ll be no fireworks this year due to the limited support available to organise them - meaning we’ll also miss out on around £10k of funding. 😕

Please come along on Wednesday to see what it’s all about and find out how you could help. Every bit of support makes a difference!

🚨 YSA needs you! 🚨 Please come to the AGM on Wednesday 7th October. The future of YSA and fundraising for the school depends on you.

The current Yatton Schools Association committee are stepping down, and without new people coming forward, YSA may not be able to continue.

For the past 3 years, a small number of parents have been organising most of our events, and it’s simply become too much for such a small number of volunteers.

YSA puts on fireworks, discos, movie nights, carnival and more, raising money that pays for coach trips, workshops, books, classroom supplies, craft materials, Christmas concerts and lots more for our children. You may have noticed that many events/activities did not happen last year as we simply didn't have enough people to keep them going.

There are usually always plenty of people happy to help at events - we now need people willing to help organise them.

You could organise just one event, maybe get a group of friends together, or join the committee.

We urgently need a new Chair, Secretary and event organisers. Please email [email protected] if you are willing to give it a go, and come along to the AGM on 7th October.

Our wonderful volunteers were busy on Friday afternoon tidying up the reuse shed to get rid of the dust, cobwebs and and a few unwanted visitors! 🕷️😬 They have sorted and tidied all the bags - but there are quite a few more to go!
We hope to have everything sorted by the end of the term and we are just waiting for confirmation from the school that the gates will be open during the summer to allow parents to come in and have a rummage. Lots and lots of uniform in great condition in there. The boxes are absolutely heaving with trousers, skirts and shorts so please please before you go out and buy supermarket packs, do check in the shed - save yourself some money while doing a little bit to save the planet 🌎💚
If you are using the shed during the summer, please remember to leave it tidy and close the door after you.

RESPECT. Can ALL parents NOT allow their children to hang & swing off the brand new outdoor classroom canvas panels. 3 Children have been seen doing this over the past 4 days. The YSA has spent a lot of time and money on this.
