Mamas Bristol has always offered a safe space to talk openly and honestly, ask for help & receive support, free from judgement ❤️

So! Within our new space we'd really love to connect with other local organisations & give them a space & an audience to showcase the support they offer 🙏

We're thinking Mental Health support, SEND discussions, Utility advice, Budgeting tips...the list goes on!

❤️ Today was a pretty big day for Mamas Bristol.

Today we opened our doors and welcomed some of the people who have supported, championed, worked alongside and believed in us to see the next chapter of Mamas Bristol.

And this one feels BIG. 📣
Because this isn't simply about having a bigger space... It's about what that space allows us to do.

MORE 💪🏼

💜More support.
💛More community aid.
🧡More emergency provision when families need us most.
🩷More sustainable food reaching tables rather than going to waste.
🤍More opportunities for education, connection and early intervention.
🩵More effective signposting and partnership working.
💙More space to listen, respond and grow around what our community actually needs.
❤️And importantly, more opportunity to make a difference before families reach crisis point.

The opportunities this space creates are becoming almost endless!!

But none of this has appeared overnight..
Behind today are years of people showing up.

Our directors, staff and volunteers. Families trusting us. Businesses saying yes. Community organisations working alongside us. People collecting donations, sorting mountains of clothes, filling shelves, rescuing food, answering messages, finding emergency items, running events, hosting parties and somehow making things happen even when there wasn't really the money, time or capacity to make them happen.

And actually, that's an important part of this story too. The success and sustainability we've created has allowed us to keep reinvesting, keep responding and keep asking:
What more can Mama's Bristol do? 💭

Today felt like the beginning of answering that question on a completely different scale. 📈

We know we can't do everything. But we can connect people. We can bring organisations together. We can share what we're seeing and hearing. We can create opportunities. We can respond when families need us. And we can make sure the voices of our community are represented in the rooms where decisions are being made.

Today we got to share that story with some brilliant people, show them what has been built so far, and start conversations about what could come next.

So yes, today we celebrated a new Mamas Bristol.
But really, we celebrated everything and everyone that made it more possible.

And we're only just getting started. ❤️

🎄🎁 Giving The Gift Of Christmas 🎁🎄

It's almost that time of year again 🎉🎅
& as always, we want to do our bit to support local families to gift their Children something special this Festive season 🎁

We will once again be teaming up with Dunelm @ Cribbs Causeway on the "Delivering Joy" Campaign as well as hosting our own Giving Tree @ Mamas Bristol🎄

This means that we can help families, just like yours, to put gifts under the tree and bring magic to Christmas this year 🎅

Our upstairs space @ Mamas Bristol is REALLY starting to take shape now & we are so excited. This week has had us all in our feels seeing this space becoming EXACTLY what we had hoped... & more ❤️🥹

Not only have TC Group donated desks, meeting tables, chairs & screens...they even came along on Tuesday & helped us build the furniture too 💪

Of course we ended the day with a well earned lunch courtesy of Denise Lansdown @ Snack Attacks - the food was spot on 👌

We are SO close to opening fully...watch this space 👀

We recently hosted the partnership meeting for the West of England Child Poverty Group that we were so humbled to be invited too.

Seeing our space today so versatile, hosting incredible influence and all working together collaboratively towards a better region. We had a huge focus for this meeting around early years and the importance of working early, getting the voices from our community.

Sharing our experience, both lived and shared has already made such a huge impact, and we very much love being a part of the journey.

Thankyou Helen, and to all of our visitors we can't wait to keep working with you.

We're recruiting a surplus champ 🎉👀

❤️ BRADLEY STOKE - 1 store, Tues - Sun before 1pm.

These roles are job shares on a bi-weekly basis!

Applicants MUST:

🚙 Drive and have regular access to a car

🏠 Be living within the area listed (only)

⏰️ Be flexible

🛒 Be able & willing to collect surplus & display for collection from your home - garden or driveway

🥰 Be kind & compassionate. Be driven to help the local community
