👏VOLUNTEERS WEEK 2026👏

Another year of Mamas Bristol & what a year it has been 🥹❤️
So much has been achieved for our community. From events, to freebies given away, to fun & socialisation, to feeding families & support and advice, we've been here for it all.

Mamas is comprised of 3 Directors and a whopping 23 additional volunteers across our surplus, hub & swaps and freebies team. Each and every one giving up SO much time, every single week, to support the communities we live in 🥰

& lets not forget the minis too, even our children give up their time to help! They come along to make food collections, stay and play sessions, even weekend hub cleans(!)
Our volunteers are setting exemplary examples & teaching our future generations the importance of kindness and community 🙏

The Mamas Bristol volunteer team is very much like having a second family. The friendships, the support, the laughs - it truly is something so special to be a part of ❤️

So thank you ALL. For everything you do. Every day. Every week. Every month. Year after year. Time and time again. You show up - not just for our community but for yourselves, your families, for US 👏🥰

A huge thank you to Bradley Stoke Town Council & Natalie Field for the opportunity to be one of the Mayor's Charities of Choice again over the last year 🙏

Last week, a few of our team attended the councils meeting & we were presented with a huge cheque donating £2900 to Mamas Bristol! 🥹

Thank you to everyone involved from the council, to the other charities & everyone from the public in attendance at the events hosted by Bradley Stoke Town Council. You have all so generously donated your time & money to causes like ours and the support truly means the world! 🌍

Congratulations to Councillor Jenny James elected as Mayor for the coming year & Jon Williams as Deputy 👏
We look forward to seeing what the year ahead brings!

This week, we met with a member of the Perinatal Mental Health, Health Integration team for BNSSG 🤝
They have asked for YOUR support.

Please see below a survey aiming to raise awareness of the current Parent & Infant emotional wellbeing support resources across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire

The survey is for parents and carers who have been pregnant or had a baby since August 2024.

We would like to better understand:
-What is currently working well?
-What could be improved?
-Identify and improve any gaps

Our aim is to ensure all parents and carers who need support know where they can access it. The survey only takes a few minutes to complete, and we would be very grateful for your support in completing it. If possible, please also share with any friends, family members, groups, colleagues within the area who also meet the criteria 🙏

This Food Partnership aims to make local, healthy food, sustainable and accessible to ALL 🫶
