Have you seen our resources page?

We've collected useful resources for running an LGBTQ+ community group or organisation, as well as resources for campaigning for LGBTQ+ rights, into one handy place on our website.

Some of the resources have been made in collaboration with Bristol's LGBTQ+ community; some of them are advice from Voscur, who facilitate this coalition; and some of them are from other organisations across the UK.

We're super excited to welcome Quartet Community Foundation to our next LGBTQ+ Organisers' Network meeting in September.

We'll be talking all things funding and how to demonstrate your impact. Later in the meeting, we'll also have a skill-share workshop on making spaces inclusive - and there'll be plenty of opportunities to meet other LGBTQ+ organisers - plus, there'll be food...!

It's been a while, so it's time for another Steering Group highlight! This time we're shouting about Freedom - the LGBTQIA+ youth programme at OTR

Freedom provides safe, supportive and joyful spaces for young people aged 11 - 25 who are LGBTQIA+ or who are questioning their gender or sexuality. It's a friendly, welcoming and relaxed space that helps young people be themselves, find friends and get the support they need.

They've been a member of our steering group since inception, and bring an invaluable perspective as a youth mental health charity.

Calling all LGBTQ+ community organisers!

Are you someone who:
⭐ organises an LGBTQ+ club, group, event or activities?
⭐ works for a charity that provides services for LGBTQ+ people?
⭐ is thinking of starting an LGBTQ+ club or group?

Then we'd love to have you join us at our quarterly LGBTQ+ Organisers' Network, on 16th September at Trinity. Book your place at the 'events' link in our bio.

This time, we'll be focusing primarily on funding to address issues that the LGBTQ+ community faces, with workshops from Ara Recovery For All and Quartet Community Foundation.

The best community groups and events make people feel welcome - so they may be the place where someone speaks up and asks for help.

This free, interactive and supportive session for LGBTQ+ Community Organisers will focus on the practicalities of safeguarding - including how to respond to concerns and disclosures, whether from visitors or volunteers.

The Bristol Social Impact Awards are open for nominations, and we'd love to see Bristol's incredible LGBTQ+ organisations celebrated.

Our host organisation, Voscur is hosting the awards in November this year, and nominations are open until 31st July. If there's an organisation that means something to you, or a volunteer who goes above and beyond, don't miss the chance to nominate them in this celebration of what makes Bristol great!

We're delighted to pass on the news of the new Grassroots Fund from LGBT+ Fund - applications are open until Midday, Wednesday 9th September for groups with an annual income under £10,000.
