We are currently looking for a new Bath-based coordinator to join our small friendly team.

The role of the Gleaning Coordinator is primarily to build relationships with local farms and food projects, to organise and plan each glean, to ensure volunteers are safe and happy on the day, and to redistribute the gleaned produce afterwards. This is a fixed term role funded by the National Lottery Community Fund (August 2026 - August 2027) with scope for continuation of work beyond August 2027 dependent on further funding.

If you think you might be the right person for this role, please have a look at the full job description on our website: https://avongleaning.org.uk/job-vacancies/

The application form can be found there too. There is no formal deadline for applications but we are looking for someone to start right away and applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until we find the right person.

We are aiming to hold informal interviews over the next few weeks and will provide the new coordinators with full training for a prompt start in the peak gleaning season of August/September. Hooray!

For years now we have all enjoyed The Community Farm, and they have been extremely generous with supplying us with surplus vegetables and fruit. It's now time to support them with their urgent crowdfunder to raise Β£50,000 to keep their farm gates open!

For 15 years, The Community Farm, based just south of Bristol, has poured their hearts into building a better local food system: growing climate-friendly food, supporting nature, and bringing thousands of people together to learn, connect, and take action for a better future. Due to a sharp drop in grant funding they are now at risk of closure. Please support them and share.

Keep sharing better food and farming with the local community.
