Sending humanitarian aid to those who call Ukraine their home We reached out to building owners and found a premises to serve as a sorting centre.

Hope for Ukraine is a group of local people who have an earnest desire to help as much as they can, to relieve the suffering of the displaced people of Ukraine. To do that, a few of us met at the beginning of March, and set about establishing a secure location that we could deliver the aid to, launching a Charity to ensure things were handled properly, and a bank account to receive any donations. Using personal connections, we have already met with people from Eastern Europe, and were able to connect with the leaders of a church in Chernivtsi in the South west of Ukraine. Things are developing quickly, and in the first week we received over £4,500 in financial donations, were connected with groups in Yate and Keynsham and linked up with a haulier who can transport the goods. On the 24th April 2022 our first lorry of Humanitarian Aid made it to it's destination after a 9 day journey through Europe. Stay tuned for our next update...

Our next 40FT LORRY full of Humanitarian Aid is due to go off in the next few weeks THANKS to your generous donations 💙💛 but due to rising fuel and transportation costs we need to find an extra £500.

If you can spare even a small amount to help us get this lorry off ALL OF YOUR DONATION through our website will go straight to funding our Humanitarian Aid causes (Hope For Ukraine is run solely by volunteers).

CAN YOU HELP OUR LOVELY VOLUNTEERS?
As we put the finishing touches to packing our Humanitarian Aid for our next 40FT LORRY departing soon, we have a Lorry Loading Day on Saturday 31st October. Our volunteers have been working really hard to make this happen. Would anyone like to help the cause by providing some Breakfast Rolls for them on the day? (Keynsham)
Please PM us if youd like to help.

Today we would like to say a HUGE THANKYOU to Pat from St Annes who kindly knitted Baby Clothes for us. Also to the family and memory of Margaret........prior to her passing away, Margaret spent many hours knitting Baby Clothes which the family have kindly donated to us......as they know she would have been glad for them to go to such a good cause.
All these hand knitted garments and blankets will not only be treasured over in Ukraine but also in some cases be life savers.
Thank you again both.
