Lockleaze Green Gym Join in and improve your local environment whilst keeping fit and healthy! What is a Green Gym?

Imagine an outdoor exercise class where you’re not just working on your own health and fitness. You’re also creating greenspaces and transform local parks and woodlands. Green Gym sessions last for 3 hours and are open for anyone to attend for free. You do not need any experience, and all tools and training are provided. We will be doing a variety of conservation tasks including tree aftercare, bramble removal, putting up bird boxes and more.

Have you spotted ragwort whilst out and about this year? It is the food-plant of the cinnabar moth, and you will often spot them all over the plant at this time of year. 🐛
Ragwort is poisonous to eat, but as livestock recognise not to eat it when growing, it is only problematic when in pasture that will be cut for hay. In waste grounds and gardens it is beneficial to leave some for insects. 🐝
