5 ⭐️ Baby!

Proud to share that our little Community kitchen has been awarded 5 stars by EHO after a surprise visit!

We've worked closely with Vassall Community Hub and put a huge amount of time and work into getting the place s***k, span and soup worthy so it feels great to have that recognised!

We've had a lot of help along the way, so big thanks to everyone who's been on the journey with us!

Last week, we provided 110 'Really Easy Moroccan Stew' meal kits to three of our amazing community food partners!

Today, we had the pleasure of joining Shift Bristol to share the work we do around food waste and community food making. It was an inspiring day connecting with their brilliant, passionate cohort exploring the complex issues around food security and discussing ways to creating positive change.

We’ve also been busy preparing a mouthwatering FEAST for tonight’s fundraiser, where we’re coming together to raise funds for and .

Our goal is to raise £2,000 with every single penny going directly to support food security in Gaza and Lebanon during this time of conflict and crisis.

Interesting article from The Big Issue about the increased use of Food Banks. It's refreshing to hear the mention of a cash first approach to tackling the root causes behind food poverty, as well as a call to action on a review of the benefits system.

"We need to see the planned review of universal credit fast-tracked and result in, at least, an essentials guarantee; a concrete plan ‘to end mass dependence on emergency food parcels’ that doesn’t involve the proliferation of other forms of food aid, or food banks in disguise"
