We were SO honoured to host a Q&A panel to 360 nursing students at on Friday!

The panel featured who features in ‘Man Down’ and who talks about his experiences of low mood & suic*dal thoughts - he talks about coping mechanisms and recovery and is evidence of how people’s lives can change.
who lost his beloved brother after a su***de attempt, he spoke about grief, coping and the quality of care they experienced as family within various care settings & last but by no means least - who is a mental health advocate and who alongside her sister work hard to support their dad in his recovery from psychosis & symptoms of bipolar/polar disorder. Imaarl spoke openly about institutional racism, health inequalities and the negative experiences faced in advocacy for her dad.

Such a meaningful & inspirational panel of people. This type of discourse leads to change.

There are several opportunities to catch the film so get the dates & times in your diary 📔 see the art work for channels BUT You can watch Together TV on a laptop 💻 phone 📱 or tablet for free!!!!

This is a huge moment for all of the men who feature in the film. These men talk openly about music, well-being and the industry! TW: discussions on drug use, su***de, alcoholism.

They are inspiring and I hope you tell them once you’ve seen it.

💥 TOMORROW💥
We are at talking to second year mental health nurses. We are so honoured to doing a film screening, a Q&A, and a teaching session! Things are starting to get busy/exciting for us! Really looking forward to these wonderful nurses of the future working with us to shape they way high risk groups can be supported & cared for. Anthony is coming in to talk about his personal experience and giving a real life perspective on what worked for him and what we can do as nurses and allied health professional to shape future practice ❤️🙏🏼🫶🏻

For anyone whom wasn't aware - an incredible, selfless and quite frankly physically superior individual reached out to us to say that he was going to be running the Llangollen Ultra Marathon to raise money for The Man Down Programme. The race was yesterday and he utterly smashed it! 🏔🏃🏻‍♂️💨

As a non-profit organisation in it's infancy, we are so grateful for feats such as this in creating revenue that can go straight into helping demystify men's mental illness and affecting change.

We are scratching the surface of what is a continuing issue - Llangollen wasn't built in a day (!!) but we are bolstered by not only this kindness but the lovely, powerful feedback from the spaces in which we have delivered our training to.
