The Wellbeing Team wanted to take a moment to thank each and every one of the amazing staff members we feel lucky to work with in Katherine House & Griffiths House.

There is a small gift from us for all staff as a token of our appreciation. Your hard work , kindness and dedication never goes unnoticed. We see the difference you make through the care, compassion and support you give. The little things you do often mean the world to both residents and their families. Oi oi, cider lovers! 🍎🥂

Being a Bristol care home, there was only one way to celebrate World Cider Day! Residents enjoyed an afternoon of cider tasting, putting their taste buds to the test by guessing the flavours and sampling a selection of delicious ciders. There was plenty of laughs, pub songs and a few surprise favourites discovered along the way! 🍏🍻

Today we hosted a wonderful Show & Tell activity , inviting residents to bring along a special object and share it's story. From treasured keepsakes to meaningful mementoes to a cardboard cut of Tom Jones! Each item sparked memories and conversations. Reminiscence activities like these provide a valuable opportunity to reflect on life experiences, celebrate personal histories and connect with one another 🌼

It's almost Pride Month! Keep an eye out for upcoming events on the Wellbeing Programme! 🌈
In Katherine House & Griffiths House, we are proud to celebrate Pride and stand together in creating a welcoming, inclusive and supportive envionment for everyone. Pride is a movement that celebrates, advocates for and affirms the rights, equality and culture of LGBTQ+ people. We believe every resident and employee, families and friends of the home deserve to feel respected, valued and accepted for who they are. Diversity is something we celebrate and we are committed to promoting kindness, equality and understanding throughout our home. What an amazing day we had together today! 🌺🎶🍛✨

A huge thank you to our incredible chef and wonderful kitchen team for all their hard work in creating a delicious three-course meal inspired by the vibrant flavours of Asia and the Caribbean . Wow it was absolutely delicious! 👏🍽️

As you can see, our residents truly got into the spirit of the day, dressing up in fantastic costumes and bringing so much joy, laughter and energy to the celebrations. ❤️

After lunch, the fun continued with the amazing musician Millena, who sang all the classics, handed out even more costumes, and had everyone joining in with instruments, singing and dancing! 💃🥁🎤

Life is always full of fun and special moments here in Katherine House & Griffiths House ☀️

Our days have been filled with singing and dancing, sunny socials on the decking, garden parties in Griffiths House garden, and making the most of the great outdoors. From enjoying nature to spending precious time together, every day brings wonderful memories.

A huge thank you to Lauren from Flourish Dance Wellbeing for joining us today for a fantastic movement and dance class themed around May 🌸💃

The bells were ringing, the ribbons were flowing, and the maypole was in full swing as our residents got up on their feet to dance together and enjoy the afternoon! ❤️

It's not every day you get The Beaufort Boys singing happy birthday to you! What an amazing performance yesterday by the fabulous male choir who had all residents singing along, and they even got the Wellbeing Team on the stage with them! The Beaufort Boys are amazing and they sing to raise money for the charity Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis .

Fine Art Friday was a wonderful success today 🎨✨

The wellbeing team supported residents in creating their own beautiful still life artwork, inspired by a variety of objects displayed on the table. Everyone was completely relaxed, focused, and fully immersed in the creative process.

As you can see, there were plenty of giggles along the way too! 😄 We love embracing creativity, enjoying each other’s company, and not taking ourselves too seriously. 💛
