It's Volunteers' Week, and we want to shout out the people who make everything possible🧡

Baby Bank was founded by a group of mums volunteering their time around a kitchen table. More than a decade on, volunteers are still at the very heart of our service.

From sorting, washing, cleaning and packing, to putting all their love and care into every bundle, our volunteers are completely amazing.

Together, we've now supported 12,500 families across Bristol. That's a LOT of cots, prams, babygros, books, stacking blocks… all pre-loved and passed on with care.

From all of us at Baby Bank – from our trustees (pictured!) and staff, and on behalf of our referral partners and all the families you support – thank you.

We simply couldn't function without you!🌟

We have some exciting news to share!

Baby Bank Network has been chosen as the charity partner for 's LoungeAid 2026 campaign this June!

LoungeAid is an annual fundraising initiative, where every Lounge across the country picks a local cause close to their hearts and spends the whole of June raising money for it.

And Grupo Lounge chose us – we’re so grateful🙌

So throughout June, their team will be fundraising with events, collecting toiletry donations, and raising money to help us get essentials to Bristol's babies and young children who need them most. You can see what they already have planned on the photo!

📍You can find Grupo Lounge in the lovely Westbury on Trym (8 Canford Lane, just off the roundabout) so please do pop in, show your support, and keep an an eye on their socials for upcoming events.

And if you're not local to Westbury on Trym, every Lounge around the country is doing the same this June, each raising money for their own brilliant local cause.

🙌 A huge thank you to Child Health Information Service (CHIS) for their mammoth donation recently! We received:

🫧 100 baby soaps
🪥 100 bamboo toothbrush kits
🧷50 baby changing mats

Thank you so much🧡

Almost 1 in 4 households with children in the UK are living in hygiene poverty, and it has a real impact. Children are more likely to avoid playing with others, and often experience low self-confidence and feelings of shame.

Something as simple as a toothbrush and a bar of soap can change that.

Donations like this from CHIS help us make sure Bristol’s youngest children have what they need to feel clean, comfortable and ready to face the world💪

Over the last 11 years we’ve been able to reach nearly 12,500 Bristol families experiencing poverty or crisis. Here’s what one of those families had to say:

“I don’t think there are any words to thank you enough for the baby bank items today.

We are completely overwhelmed by what we have received (in the most wonderful way!) and so thankful for the referral you made.

This has come at such a tricky time for all but has really filled a hole we weren't sure we would get out of without support.”

🌟Looking for a new volunteering opportunity (in school hours)?

Join our team at Baby Bank Network and make a real difference in just a few hours a week.

Over the last 11 years, we’ve helped nearly 12,500 families in Bristol going through a tough time.

And with demand for our service growing, we’re looking for more amazing volunteers to help us reach families experiencing poverty or crisis.

We're looking specifically for people to join our lovely warehouse team, sorting donations and preparing bundles for families who need them.

If you’re free for 2–3 hours any weekday morning to help at our HQ in Fishponds, we'd love to meet you!

In return, you'll learn new skills, meet brilliant people and know you’re making such a positive impact on local families.

No experience needed! Just a willingness to help and a caring nature💛

Sometimes it’s hard to feel hopeful. But even in tough times, our community is absolutely filled with hopefuls doing their bit to improve the lives of people here.

This is a massive THANK YOU to Team Baby Bank who raised a fantastic🌟£5,264🌟(including Gift Aid) at the Great Bristol Run last weekend.

What an incredible achievement🙌

Thank you so much to all our 10k and half marathon runners, who not only got some brilliant PBs, but raised so much money for children in Bristol facing poverty and crisis.

A special shout-out to the children who ran the junior race, and were superstar fundraisers!

Our amazing group of Baby Bank runners took on the Great Bristol Run this weekend – competing in the junior race, the 10k and the half marathon, and absolutely smashed their fundraising target!

We're so proud of them all, and super grateful for them putting in the miles to raise money for families going through a really tough time at the moment.

We're still totalling up all the funds raised and will announce that shortly along with some more photos, so if you'd been meaning to donate, there's still time!
