It was a great day in the office yesterday! After being without it for several months, our van finally came home!

A massive thank you to all those who have supported us with volunteering, loans of vehicles and donations to keep our foodbanks running these past few months! A special thank you to our MP Kerry McCarthy , who has been writing to the dealership on our behalf to get things moving again! We are back on the road!!!

We served 36 Clients at the Kingswood Foodbank yesterday, the same number as last week. However, the actual number of people fed was less than last week - 42 adults and 10 children - as there was not as many families.

Our biggest need is adult toothpaste which we completely out of. We also low on cartons of long-life milk & fruit juice. Biscuits, pasta & curry sauces, tins of meat & veg, razors, washing up liquid and bleach.

Like to come and work with us, or rather our parent organisation, inHope: they are advertising 3 paid positions. They are Church & Community Fundraising Officer, Digital Fundraising Officer and Financial Inclusion Facilitator https://www.inhope.uk/get-involved/work-with-us/

Thank you all very much.

Work with us at Bristol charity helping people overcome homelessness, hunger, addiction & poor mental health.

We were back in the 30s at the Kingswood Foodbank on Tuesday which is double the amount of clients from the previous week. We served 34 clients and delivered to 2 more, serving 41 adults and 16 children. Again, a high proportion of them were single people (24).

This week we would welcome donations of pasta & curry sauces, tins of meat & fruit, crisps, biscuits, coffee, toilet roll, deodorant, shampoo (non colour), washing up liquid and cat food.

Thank you very much.

The Kingswood Foodbank served just 18 people on Tuesday, down from 32 people the previous week. Was it too hot for some people to come? We fed 26 adults and 18 children.

Talking of the weather, we would welcome donations of children's sun protection. Donations of tinned potatoes, veg & fruit, rice pudding, custard, jars of coffee, pasta sauce, microwavable packs of rice, chocolate and cartons of long-life milk would also be welcome.

Thank you all very much.

Very similar numbers served at the Kingswood Foodbank on Tuesday to last week: 24 clients representing 31 adults and 13 children.

Happily there are very few items that we are short of. Just tins of toms, spuds, veg & fish (particularly tuna) and coffee.

Thank you all very much.

After 3 weeks of having 33 clients in each of them, the Kingswood Foodbank dropped to 24 on Tuesday - 23 came in and we delivered to 1 more. In total we fed 33 adults and 12 children.

Again, quite a long list of shortages: tins of meat, custard, cartons of long-life milk, crisps, biscuits, pot noodles, coffee, drinking chocolate, jam, men's deodorant, soap powder/ pods and washing up liquid.

Thank you all very much.

A busy day at the Kingswood Foodbank yesterday, it was our 2nd busiest of the year. We served 35 clients - 3 of them deliveries - and fed 40 adults and 33 children.

Thank you for all the Easter Egg donations. All children got one and so did single people. And we have enough left over to give them out next week.

This weeks needs are cartons of long-life milk & fruit juice, tins of potatoes, fish & meat, shampoo, washing powder & pods and toilet rolls.

If you normally bring donations in a Monday, please note we that we are not open on the 6th April. Open as normal on Tuesday.

Thank you all very much: Happy Easter.

We welcomed 21 people to the Kingswood Foodbank yesterday and delivered to 3 more. In total 33 adults and 12 children were fed.

I have been slow in asking for donations of Easter Eggs so that is this weeks main request. Other items we would appreciate donations of are tins of potatoes & veg, jam, washing powder/ pods, toothpaste and household cleaning items.

Once again, thank you all for you wonderful support.

11/03/2026

We served 23 clients at the Kingswood Foodbank yesterday, representing 32 adults and 15 children.

As always, donations of any items that do not need to be stored in a fridge or freezer welcome. In particular tins of fruit & fish, cartons of long-life milk and fruit juice, washing up liquid and toilet rolls.

Earlier this morning, our parent organisation, Trussell, published statistics for the whole of the calendar 2025. These are the headlines: "Our End of Year stats tell us that appalling levels of severe hardship continue across the UK. More than 2.6 million emergency food parcels were provided to people across the UK in 2025 by food banks in the Trussell community. While some people are getting back on their feet with inflation easing, provision is still 45% higher than before the pandemic and too many people are still trapped in severe hardship."

Thank you all very much for your support.
