Why is it so important that Brighton Surf Life Saving club has Pride representation this weekend? Well partly to celebrate our wonderful membership but further to promote that Surf Lifesaving is very much open to all.

Brighton Pride & what it represents is a big deal for the club as it shows that we as a local organisation stand united with the city of Brighton to celebrate everything positive Pride represents but equally against anyone that wishes to repress an equal, fair & caring society.
Saturday may be seen by many as a simple Parade but at its heart it’s very much a march to illustrate unity & solidarity against any in society that feel the need to persecute others predominantly because of their own ignorance & insecurity.
We should never forget how lucky we are to live in a city so accepting of diversity.
One only need watch the recent TV production β€œTip Toe” to realise how important the message still is.
So whatever your pronoun, please give us a wave on Saturday & share our love of diversity, as it’s what makes BSLSC & our city so special.
Aloha i Kekahi i Kekahi
(love one another!)

On the success our our recent Access Beach Day - BSLSC are excited to announce that we have our very own Debug Floating Beach Wheelchair on the way!
Thanks to two very kind donations from the former Paddle Round The Pier Beach Festival charity and from our generous friends at sussexaudiologycentre.co.uk the club have been able to secure this great new asset. This will allow us to enable more people to share the sea with us!!!
It's still about 5-6 weeks away currently but it's coming and will be available through Sea Lanes Brighton or BSLSC as we continue to run more Access Beach days for our community. If you would like more information on the next Access Beach Day planned for August please email [email protected]
