Thank you to everyone who helped set up and run today’s little competition in Brighton. It takes a team to organise such things and we are blessed to have a great group of volunteers at hand captured here. Oh, and a few of our intrepid Sandhoppers and their parents/guardians learning all about shorebreak!

Please consider supporting our fundraiser to provide water safety education to more local school children this summer.

Pete is doing this challenge to support an extra local school to participate in our summer schools program. That’s up to 32 more children learning about beach and sea safety and they might not otherwise have this opportunity.

Please also share widely with families, friends and neighbours. We really appreciate the support.

Sponsor Pete to abseil down the i360 on 28 June to raise funds to support a local school to attend our summer schools water safety program.

Considering today’s tragic events, Brighton Surf Lifesaving Club wishes to express our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the three young ladies who tragically lost their lives in the sea at Brighton earlier today.
Our thoughts are with their loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. We also extend our sincere gratitude and support to all rescue and emergency services personnel involved in responding to this heartbreaking tragedy.
Alongside the wider Brighton community, we stand united in mourning this devastating loss of life.

We are sorry to hear of the loss of John Stainer who sadly passed away yesterday. John was instrumental in lifesaving in our region as well as internationally and was a key player advising on the formation of Brighton club back in the 1990’s.
He was also simply a lovely man.
RIP John, a true life saver
