Today we were at unveiling our wonderful, interactive BookBench designed and painted by 8 fantastic illustrators, as well as awarding the winners of our story competition! A huge congratulations to all of our finalists, and an extra congrats to the winners: Otto Rainey, Amelie Cooper, and Frida Stephan. You should all be extremely proud of yourselves.

Illustrated by .sharratt , .stower , .liz , , , , and , this little BookBench will be located at The Book Nook for the entire trail for you to come and colour in.

We're super excited about this bench, and we can't wait for you to be able to have your part in it...

A huge thank you to everyone that came along to help us reveal this bench, it was a lovely moment to appreciate such a fantastic piece of work, and another huge thank you to Julie and Vanessa at The Book Nook for hosting. We're so happy to see it in all its glory!

Looking for a free activity with the kids tomorrow? We have our last few tickets available for the exciting unveiling of a very special BookBench sculpture by some incredibly talented children’s book authors and illustrators at the lovely Booknookhove. We are delighted to be joined by the Mayor of Brighton & Hove and wonderful illustrators Sophy Henn, Guy Parker Rees, Steven Lenton, Vicky Woodgate, Adam Stower and Nila Aye. We are also celebrating our fantastic story competition winners.

Do you love arts and crafts over drinks with friends? Want to get involved with The Story Trail and help raise money for your local charity Amaze? Come along to our Paint and Sip evening at Waterstones on the 16th September for a chance to paint your very own mini BookBench sculpture!

We're excited to announce that we now have Compass Card discounts for The Story Trail!
The Compass Card is a free leisure discount for anyone in Brighton from the ages of 0-25 with SEND. Founded by Amaze, the Compass Cards make sure that people with SEND don't miss out on having fun, and we're very excited to include them in The Story Trail.
