Release Counselling and Therapy for Women Our charity supports at key moments in their lives from parenting to menopause through therapeutic groups, wellbeing days and counselling.

1-2-1 counselling
This offers you a safe, supportive, confidential space to talk through whatever difficulties you are facing, and to explore
difficult thoughts and feelings. Through listening non-judgementally to you, our role is to enable you to better understand your feelings, and to support you to find a way to move forwards. Release offers a range of psycho-educational groups for women, whi

ch are topic based and underpinned with a therapeutic approach. The benefits of joining a group are that they provide opportunity to break isolation, share experiences and feelings, gain information to help overcome difficulties and offer mutual support. ๐Ÿ“ฃ We're planning our next Non-Gestational Parent Support Groups โ€“ and we need your input! ๐Ÿ’œ

We're looking ahead to groups running between June and September, and we'd love to hear from you before we set dates and times.

If you're a mum who didn't carry your child yourself, we're inviting you to register your expression of interest and let us know:

โœ… Which days of the week work best for you
โœ… Preferred times (daytime, evenings, weekends)
โœ… Any other considerations that would help you attend

Your feedback will help us schedule groups at times that work for as many people as possible.

These groups provide a welcoming space to connect with other non-gestational mums, share experiences, and access support from people who understand your journey.

Motherhood can take many forms โ€” and your experience is valid, whether or not you carried or gave birth to your child.

Weโ€™re inviting expressions of interest for our Non-Gestational Mothers Group at Release for Women โ€” a supportive, therapeutic space for women navigating the emotional landscape of non-gestational motherhood.

This group is for you if you are:

๐Ÿ’› A stepmother
๐Ÿ’› A foster mother
๐Ÿ’› A kinship carer
๐Ÿ’› Or parenting in a non-gestational role in any form

This group offers a safe, understanding environment to explore experiences that are often complex, overlooked, or carried quietly.

You may benefit from this group if you:
โ€ข Are a non-gestational mother (by adoption, step-parenting, kinship care, fostering, or other pathways)
