I want to share a little about my experience in the last week.

Before I start, I want to let people know that I have become paralysed from the waist down, and I am not as mobile as I was even before I started walking from September 2024.

I was rushed into St George's Hospital on Sunday 20th April 2025 (Easter Sunday).

I do have a history of sciatica causing me problems, but never this late at the beginning of the new year (early Spring), it normally causes me problems from October/November onwards.

As people know that I suffer from anorexia, I have started to eat small amounts of food, regularly once a day is all I can managed.

On Saturday 19th of April, at about 3 pm, I was in my kitchen, chopping up vegetables to make for my soup. Knife in hand, I turned to put it into the sink, and go and get the blender.

No pain in my back, no warning, as I was about to step forward, I fell, thankfully I dropped the knife that I was holding or I would have stabbed myself.

I could not feel my legs, waist down. I tried to move them, but they were so heavy that it was impossible to lift. I then tried to do my 'army crawl', that is when the pain hit me!

Oh my goodness, the pain was horrendous. I could not move, I did not have my Apple Watch nor my mobile near me.

Precious at home does absolutely NOTHING, she looks sweet and innocent, she is but at home she is the laziest dog I have ever met!

She walked up to me, sniffed my face and gave me a lick, then she walked away, not interested in me!

She has a bed in the kitchen, one of four! Sat there looking at me, looking "why are you on the floor, that is unusual!

I told everyone at the hospital I am but that did not make any difference!

to continue....

This photo was taken hours after I entered hospital on Easter Sunday, 20th April 2025.

Precious, a wonderful dog, knew I was very ill, and was very patient and tolerant with me. Like usual she did not demand for anything, she simply lay beside me while I was in complete agony. Trying to support me.

I am not going to write about what I went through on this account but I was treated worse than an animal at St Georges Hospital and suffered.

Precious was with me for the 5 days I went through hell. I am not able to use my legs anymore and I do not know if I will ever be able to.

The specialist medication I am on my body has started to reject, I was warned of this could happen.

I have enjoyed the last six months not using the wheelchair.

Homeless People are prone to feet problems. Although I walked quite a distance to Brighton, I am dealing with blisters on both feet. I covered them to prevent triggering.

Another reason homeless people have difficulties with their feet is that they are wearing the same footwear day in and day out.

This was us last night, Precious is snuggled up in her little orange tinfoil emergency blanket near the wall, you cannot even make her out.

Over the next nine months or so, I and my dog will be walking, replicating as near as possible the living conditions of a homeless person who has a pet. I want to raise the awareness, the reality of the challenges they face with their pet, normally the only ‘thing’ they have. I will also try to talk about my experiences of when I was homeless

My dog and I are doing a 1,300 km walk around the UK to support 2 charities that saved both our lives. It is my duty to repay them. We have completed the first part, London to Brighton, now we make our way to Land’s End going to each of their out reach in the hope to meet them.

But if not…

This is my latest update:

We arrived into Brighton this morning at about 3.30 am. We took a very expensive UBER about 3 miles outside Bright when the London Road became a dual carriage way, it became scary.

But my goodness it was cold. Precious did not hesitate to get into her tin foil blanket this time. In fact when I opened it you could see the steam rise! I was soon roasting in my emergency blanket too!

Hoping above hope that I may be lucky to meet one or two you in Brighton or along my route. I do need the lift - in spirits.

Last night as I was walking, the cold air around my head, seeing the stars and the sky, it was beautiful. The moonlight was intense, I really didn’t need my head torch but I used it for safety reasons. Here is some of the views

Good morning it’s 10th March 2025, I feel so alive after a wonderful sleep. Please if you can sponsor me or crowdfund me please.

I am relaunching the walk today at 08:15
