This is a useful article that should be read, considered and shared. It includes useful tools and links.

“There is … a culture of fear of being seen as party political if we don’t work with far-right political actors in the same way we’ve worked with more ‘mainstream’ parties in the past.“

“[We need] a more sophisticated understanding of campaigning and advocacy.“

“We need … a coherent and focused strategy that enables us to campaign on issues of importance while also focusing on the existential threat.“

“There is nervousness within the organisation & our network about making clear assertions about the threat of the far right.”

“A culture that prioritizes comfort over conflict holds us back from doing better both internally and externally.”

Reform’s recent local electoral victories should be a further wake up call for the social change sector to respond to the threat of the far right. Because NGOs appear to be struggling to shif…

Honouring the lives of Jane Adetoro, Christina Walters, Rebecca Walters - three Black women whose bodies were pulled from the sea in Brighton.

We gather in grief, remembrance, solidarity and love.

Join us as we hold space for Black women, women of colour sisterhood, for mourning, for collective healing and for the guidance of ancestral wisdom.

Please bring candles, flowers, instruments, drums if you wish.

Come in peace. Come in community. Come to remember. Come with love.

We believe this Vigil has been organised by BARCO (Black Anti-Racism Community Organisation)

The family have set up a Gofundme page https://gofund.me/c6d48b1c6

They write:

This appeal is being made on behalf of my brother Joseph and the family following the devastating loss of his three beloved daughters — Jane, Christina and Rebecca — who tragically lost their lives in the sea at Brighton on 13th May 2026

As a family, we are still struggling to come to terms with what has happened. The girls had so much life ahead of them, and their loss has left a pain and emptiness in our hearts that words cannot describe.

No parent should ever have to bury their child, let alone all three.
