Brighton & Hove City Council has launched an independent review to capture lived experience to help examine the causes and impacts of inequality across the city and identify ways to improve life chances for residents.
The council is keen to invite individuals from within the health service, the local third sector, education institutions and local businesses who can offer their experience and insight and would like to join the review panel as a City Voice panel member.
Expressions of interest are welcome from anyone who can demonstrate:
• Strategic understanding of their sector’s role in addressing inequality.
• Commitment to cross-sector collaboration.
• Openness to learning from lived experiences.
• A willingness to support constructive, evidence-informed dialogue.
Anyone interested should contact the council before 19 June by emailing: [email protected]
They should include a short statement outlining their role and organisational context, person reasons for wanting to join the panel, what expertise or personal experience they would bring and any practical considerations that would support their participation.
The council is also currently recruiting long-term residents to provide a voice to their community, so please do encourage any service users or clients you think would be suitable to contact the council to discuss becoming a Community Voice panel member. They can email the address above or call 01273 290000.
